Course: L3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production Year: 2

(TV & Film)

Hand Out Date: Monday 7th November 2016 Assessment No:

Unit No (s): Unit Title (s): Factual programme production

27. Factual Prog Techniques

Scenario:
Presenting a programme with a factual basis is a weighty responsibility. Media producers need to
be certain that the way the collect, produce and present information gives a fair and balanced
picture to the audience. At the same time, there are all sorts of codes and conventions associated

project.

Now the challenge is to use the footage from your interview assignment to put together a 3-5
minute news package or documentary which could be used in a magazine programme for 16-25-
