To Whom It May Concern,

I am interested in a position within the Social Service Field. I have experience

working with immigrants, homeless women, children with special needs, and
at risk youth. A job opportunity with your agency will allow me to utilize my
education; as well as my social work experience.

I am currently working as a Resource Area Assistant at the Welcome Centre

Immigrant Services, as well as with the YRDSB at Dr. Bette Stephenson
Centre for Learning, as a practicum student. I have excelled in this culturally
diverse and multi-disciplinary environment, and have demonstrated my
empathetic and supportive skills in the challenges that may arise with the
newcomers. In my time off, I volunteer my time to a youth home base
program, where I facilitate conversations with the youth, as well as help with
meal preparation.

My prior experience in the social service area was at Belindas Place Shelter
as a placement student, where I worked as a Front Line Assistant, supporting
the women when they needed someone to listen to, or help with job and
apartment search. I also led life skills workshops to motivate the women for
positive change.

Additionally, I have dedicated 4 years in work and co-op experiences to

children with Autism, Which has allowed me to develop distinguishing
characteristics that I can bring to your organization. I am committed to
working and providing evidence- based support to children with behavioural
issues, or special needs.

Enclosed please find my resume for review. Thank you for your consideration.
I look forward to meeting with you personally.

Kindest Regards,

Ciara Dymond
