Equipment:
Within the auditions, I will be using a simple microphone on my phone so that it is portable
and easy to use. This also means the auditions are easy to share, and send to other devices
and people. This is also, why I will be using my mobile microphone for the rehearsals.
On the 18th of March I will use a Blue
Microphones Yeti USB Microphone, as it is
available on location 1. This will be attached
to my MacBook and recorded using the Apple
software Garage Band.
For the second recording of the character
Claire on the 22nd March, I will be recording
at location 2. This site has no access to a
microphone, so I will have hired one from
The Henley College. The booking form is
shown on the left.
Finally, I will be editing the drama, on my
MacBook as it has access to software call
IMovie. This software allows me to dub and
layer sound effects, to create depth and
realism to my drama. It also allows me to add audio effects such as muffled Telephone
and Cathedral. These audio effects make the dram more realistic and engaging.

The room is medium size, with hard walls. We will use blankets to soften the sound

The room is small enough that it does not No solution needed.

also lined with soft clothes.

Power Information Solutions:

There are very few power sockets in the
room, are those that are, are in hard places
to reach.
I will use my computer to show the script,
and rechargeable zoom mic. This means
that I do not need a power socket, only to
charge both pieces of equipment prior to
recording.

Hazards Solutions:
The room is small, and there is not much I will keep people within the room to a
room to move. minimum, and the equipment used will be
small to maximize space.

The top right image shows is a screenshot of the software Garage Band that
was used to record the audio for Ellie and Fatimah.
After I recorded all the actors, I used iMovie to edit the voices, sound effects,
ambience, and music to create a realistic and engaging radio drama. The image
on the top right and those on the bottom show how the audio is layered to
create this atmosphere. At the bottom of the editing bar is the ambient sound.
This was usually the sound of birds, which I used the muffled effect on to
make it seem as if they are outside. The voices and dialogue are at the top as
they are the loudest and most important aspect of the drama, and best way of
telling the narrative. Although if the sound effect is important, I will use it on
the first tab, otherwise it is below.
