Explore all the financial aspects of attending college.


The release date for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2017-2018 has been moved to October,
which means you can apply sooner for financial aid and have more time to seek additional sources to finance your
education. This month, attend workshops designed to help you finance your education.

One-on-One Financial Aid Assistance

Sponsored by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Walk-ins welcome!

WEDNESDAY FAFSA Completion Workshop


Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26 1-2 p.m. Building G, Room G111
Before attending this workshop, you must register for your Federal Student Aid
(FSA) ID at fsaid.ed.gov, which gives you access to Federal Student Aids online
systems and can serve as your legal signature.

THURSDAY Understanding Work-Study

Learn how work-study can help off set some of your college costs, and what
the process is to determine your eligibility.

THURSDAY The REAL Cost of College

Learn about the costs of attending college beyond tuition, including health
insurance, meal plans, housing, and books, plus ways you can decrease your
out-of-pocket expenses.

THURSDAY Financial Literacy Workshop

After youve been awarded financial aid, you need to maintain your eligibility.
Come learn about important eligibility requirements.

TUESDAY Financial Aid Process and Completion Workshop
