A Guide to Ingenuity

On the , a three-hour symposium on a special topic regarding Tax

Special Laws and Other Business Laws was conducted by Atty. Ting
Conales to all Third Year Accountancy and Management Accounting
students at the auditorium of the University of San Jose-Recoletos
Basak Campus. Filled with enthusiasm to share her experiences and
knowledge as a lawyer, Atty. Conales cited relevant information about
patents and the laws that surround them regardless of the limited time
provided to her.
This conference had added a little more of what the students learned
about Intangible Assets when they already took up the corresponding
course, Financial Accounting as part of the curriculum on their degree
program. One of the many things discussed is the implementation of
an intellectual property, and how little did the people know that this is
protected with patent. Absentminded it may seem, but the least about
patents is that, people have no rights to copy, imitate, mimic or
implement a uniquely and beautifully designed object, for these are all
created by the inventors to put it into reality or into exhibit and not to
be claimed as part of the work of others.
There are still more of these things that people dont know. Also,
questions that has been asked, yet remained to be unanswered. With
this, the seminar had been correlated to the degree program of the
Third Year students, and it had brought not only knowledge to them but
also great desire to learn more of these things. With sincerity and
gratitude, the Third Year students couldnt be more grateful to the
speaker, Atty. Ting Conales for sharing her learnings to them with
enthusiasm that they had not fallen asleep until the end of the talk.
Indeed, knowledge would be of no value until it has been shared.
