Human and Jellyfish Impact

Directions: Please review the resources complete the cycle chart. Student will be investigating
how humans have affected jellyfish blooms (radical increase in population) and their effect on
humans.

The cycle chart is used to illustrate the relationship between jellyfish and people. Students will
work in pairs and if there are an odd number of students then there will be one group with three
students. On a cycle chart students can start at any point of the cycle. Ensure that each segment
flow logically according to the arrows.

Students will use formal sentences when filling out the cycle chart. Afterwards we will have a
whole class discussion. The discussion will entail the possible solutions to the problem of
overpopulation of jellyfishes. If you have any questions please ask me.
