multicatheter brachytherapy in early breast cancer - simulation of treatment costs based

on phase 3 trial data. Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy, 8(6), 505-511.

doi:10.5114/jcb.2016.64919

The authors conducted research to determine the effectiveness and cost efficiency of

using partial breast irradiation in the early stages of breast cancer rather than the more commonly

used whole breast irradiation and found that it is cheaper to do partial breast irradiation and there

are no extra benefits to doing a whole breast irradiation. This is a credible source because it is

peer reviewed and written by credible people. This will be useful in my recommendation report

because I will be comparing the two types of treatment of breast cancer. (91 words)

at home screenings. The results had no comparison to those women who were high risk

compared to those who were low risk. This source is credible because it was written by people

with vast knowledge in the topic and it has been peer reviewed. This information will benefit my

recommendation report by giving me a deeper insight. (92 words)

A study was done to determine the mortality rate of breast cancer in women in Brazil. It

was found that the rate between ages 20-49 has increased and the rate between the ages 50-69

has remained the same. They also concluded that for a more conclusive study they should

redesign the method. This is a credible source because it was peer reviewed and was in a know
