A PRAYER WARRIOR'S HEART

ONE
I've fought the good fight of faith
In the Lord's service for a long time
I've walked through deep valleys-
There's been high mountains I've had to climb
I've helped the wayfaring stranger,
Tried to be a light in this world that's so dark
But now that it seems that I've lost my way
Lord, lay me on some prayer warriors heart.

CHORUS:
Lord, lay me on some prayer warriors heart
And lead them to an altar to pray for me
In the heat of the battle I've just grown weary
And Lord you know just what I need
Tell them there's a soldier of yours that is wounded
And his soul is being torn apart
Through the prayers of the saints I'll find the strength
If you'll lay me on some prayer warriors heart.

TWO:
Your prayer warriors know how to pray
And intercede to God for me
I know they've been right where I am and today
And we're asking you for the same strength.
From somewhere I hear a voice calling my name
And I see a light in the dark
I feel my faith soaring and I'm on my way
God bless your old prayer warriors heart.

THREE:
When the church comes together to pray for one another
Would you have them to pray for me
They may not know my name
But their prayers can sustain me for eternity
Lord, lay me on some prayer warriors heart
And lead them to an altar to pray for me
For in the heat of the battle I've just grown weary
And you know just what I need
Well tell them there's a soldier of yours that is wounded
And their his soul is being torn apart
Thru the prayers of the saints I'll find the strength
If you'll lay me on some prayer warriors heart.

TAG: Thru the prayers of the saints, I'll find the strength
If you'll lay me on some prayer warriors heart.
PRAYER WARRIOR

1.We may see her in the grocery with her children

Or in the city nine to five each working day
She's a mother or a teacher or a woman all alone
But she's someone else entirely when she prays

C.She's a prayer warrior down on her knees

Wrestling with power and principalities
Standing in the gap for others
For her sisters and her brothers
Reaching heaven with her heart prayer warrior

2.We don't see her lonely nights of intercession

Or that tear she shed with every whispered name
We may not see the simple things hidden in her heart
But the eyes of God are watching her with care

Repeat Chorus

Bridge: And we'll never wholly know the debt we owe her
For we'll never know the evil we've been spared
Many nights she's crushed through Satans strongholds
And we'll never wholly know the debt we owe her
For we'll never know the evil we've been spared

I did not choose the Prayer Warriors Gift,

It was Gods choice for me
While others stand in front of crowds
I bow on bended Knee,
Help me Lord to be faithful, though, I obtain no fame,
May you use the prayers I pray, to deliver those in pain,
May the requests I utter, late at night, while others are asleep,
Cause your never-ending love to flow, to all the lost and lonely sheep.
I thank you Lord, I have found my place, and I bow before your throne,
I know Ill see these answered prayers, when you come to take me home!
Though some dont think my gift is much, I pray without regret,
For I know by praying for others needs, All my needs are met!

"Look For Me
LOOK FOR ME (FOR I WILL BE THERE TOO)
by Tanya Goodman Sykes song

When you finally make your entrance to that city,

Of jasper walls and bright golden avenues:
As you behold all its beauty and its splendor,
Remember, there's just one request I make of you.

Look for me, for I will be there too,

I realize when you arrive there'll be so much to view;
After you've been there ten thousand years,
A million, maybe two, look for me for I will be there too.

As you go down your list of firsts, there's no question,

We're gonna want to see our loved ones, awaiting me and you;
When you feel you've shared your story with the last one,
That wants to hear you tell just how you made it through;

Look for me, I'd like to hear it too,

I realize when you arrive there'll be so much to view;
After you've been there ten thousand years,
A million, maybe two, look for me for I will be there too.
Look for me for I will be there too.

It's Amazing, What a Prayer Can Do

There was a king, who got a letter,

a mighty army without number.
He spread it out, for the Lord to get a view.
God sent a promise and just one angle,
(that) the devil's army (had) met its doom.
It's just amazing, what a prayer can do.

[Chorus]
It's moved mountains, parted rivers, brought the dead to live again.
I've called aponed an old prayer warrior, a time or two.
When you're in trouble, I'll go down on my bended knees for you.
It's just amazing, what a prayer can do.

I knew a mother and her baby.

She (he) fought for life the whole night through.
Seemed all hope was gone.
Oh, how'd the tries had falled, not just a few.
But, there's ol' grandpa in the corner,
he knew the blood would see her through.
That baby's still alive.
That shows what prayer can do.
[Repeat Chorus]

*This is how I sing it, and I think it sounds better like this.
