1. What is one assignment or activity that has helped you the most? (If none, please explain
your reactions to at least one assignment.)
a. The activity that has helped me the most was the chart of point of views. It helped
to show me that a paper could be broken down into how someone viewed
something and on the information that person presented.
2. You participated in one informal peer review so far. What was the experience like, and
can you apply anything you learned to future writing and/or classes?
a. The informal peer review was a positive experience for me because I received
good feedback without feeling judged in a negative way on my work. The review
allowed me to see weaknesses within my paper and areas in which I needed to
focus on more in future works. I can apply the way my group went about fixing
each others papers so that whoevers work I need to review feels the same way I
did about the experience. In future writings I will apply more focus to the areas
that were pointed out to me that I was lacking in and try and create a more well
rounded piece of work.
3. Explain one way you might change your reading or writing practices as you continue.
a. I may change the way I go about brainstorming my papers. I might do this
because in writing the outline and the chart looking at point of views I found it
easier to start the paper as well as organize the information. Furthermore, both of
these have helped me see things I could add to my writing and showed me how to
structure my paper in a more organized way.
4. Explain one way you have contributed to the class.
a. I believe I have contributed to the class in helping others improve on there works.
In looking over others outlines and annotated bibliography I believe I have
contributed my skills to help others who have weaknesses where my strengths lie.
5. What is something from your research that surprised you?
a. I was surprised with how many parents supposed zoos just based not the fact that
it allowed their children to see exotic animals. The parents only wanted them
because they believed their children deserved the right to see these majestic
animals up close and personal.
6. List ten questions or concerns you still have about writing.
a. Im concerned about grammar
b. I worry about the way in which I write and whether or not its appropriate for my
intended audience.
c. I want to expand my vocal so I worry that I sound younger in using more
simplistic phrases and words
d. I worry that my writing is lacking for my age
e. I want to get better at transitions because I worry that my paper sounds wrong
without the correct ones
f. I worry that I sound repetitive in my papers
g. I worry that I cannot get my point and information across in an engaging way
h. I worry that I am picking up bad habits in my writing
i. I worry that my writing will not impose
j. I worry that I will never write a great piece

7. Create one goal related to class for the second half of your semester.
a. I want to improve enough on my writing that I do not feel as self conscious when
my peers read one of my pieces.
