Description To implement Phase 2 of the NTFSR/ Night Time Fuel Saving Routes
within Scottish UIR:
To establish new flight plannable DCT portions to provide enhanced
trajectories for early morning eastbound NAT flights FL285 and above
from 14W overflying Scottish UIR. Planned to be available until
approximately 0630 UTC (1h earlier in summer). Will link with routes
being developed by Maastricht UAC to the east of the eastern London
UIR boundary.
Objective To further improve the ATS route network between Shannon UIR,
London UIR and Maastricht UAC while better managing eastbound NAT
flows within UK during early morning period prior to domestic first
rotations. To establish FPL routes replicating tactical direct routes given
operationally and thus providing more efficient management of this major
eastbound flow.
