Tic-Tac-Toe for Student Choice Activities
1. PowerPoint (Technology) 2. Tri-Fold Brochure (Visual) 3. Debate (Interactive)

Create a PowerPoint about your
topic. There must be at least 5
slides about the general topic,
plus 2 slides for each individual
group member and their specific
focus. Include words, pictures,
transitions, etc. on every slide. It
MUST have at least 3 charts,
diagrams, graphs, maps, surveys,
flowcharts, etc. Be ready to
present well without just reading
the slides.
Create a tri-fold brochure
informing us about your topic.
Create enough to pass out to each
group. Possibility: The inside
panels can be about each persons
specific focus and the back panels
can be the general info, or vice
versa. Be ready to present it well
to the class.
Set up a debate between
members of your group. The
teacher needs to approve the
specific topic of the debate ahead
of time. Each person needs to
take a side. Explain what is going
on, and have a moderator if there
are enough members in your
group. Be ready to take questions
from the audience. Plan for 4-5
minutes of material.

Create a collage/poster/
mural. It should inform us about
your topic in a colorful and
creative way. Posters and
collages need labels. Make it
have an opinion about the topic,
and make it persuade us to that
opinion. Be ready to present it
well to the class.
Create 8-10 questions to lead a
class discussion about your topic.
Think of questions that are
thought-provoking and require
more than a yes-no answer. Be
ready to branch off of answers or
new questions that the audience
has. Possibility: Choose a pro-
con type of question. Plan for 4-5
minutes of material.
Create a Prezi about your topic.
There must be at least 5 slides

are clear and make sense. Lead
the audience or members of the
audience in the game. Plan for 4-
5 minutes of material.
Film and edit a video about your
topic. It must be at least 1 minute
times the number of group
members in length. Include
general info plus info about each
group members specific focus.
Include music, special effects,
transitions, etc. It MUST have at
least 3 charts, diagrams, graphs,
maps, surveys, flowcharts, etc.
We must be able to watch it in
class via the teacher computer.
Model/Visuals (Visual)
Create a 3-D piece of
art/mobile/model or bring in
visuals. It should inform us about
your topic in a colorful and
creative way. Mobiles and
models need labels. Make it have
an opinion about the topic, and
make it persuade us to that
opinion. Be ready to present it
well to the class.
