An old farmer and his son wanted to sell their donkey at the town. On their
way to the market, they met some girls. Look at those fools! They are walking
instead of riding the donkey, said one of the girls. The farmer told his son to sit on
the donkey when he heard that.

Thirty minutes later, they met some old men. Get down, you lazy boy! Get
down and let your father ride the donkey, said one of the old men. The son quickly
got down from the donkey and let his father sit on the donkey.
When they had almost reached the market, they saw some villagers. One of
them sod,Poor animal, he can hardly walk. You lazy man should get down and carry
him instead. The old farmer and his son quickly tied the donkeys legs together and
carried him. A moment later, the donkey started to kick. It broke the rope and ran off.

Dear Amy,
How are you? I hope you are fine. I just read an article about better
communication a few days ago. I have some points which you can use for your
essay.
First, you must stop to think before you speak. Think of what you want to say
before you say it. Once it is spoken, you cannot take it back. The article also said
that eye contact is important. You must look a person in the eye when you talk. This
shows that you are an honest individual. You will also get the persons attention.
Another point you can include in your essay is to state your opinions in simple
short sentences. This helps the listener understand your message easily. If you use
difficult words or long sentences, the listener may get confused or lose interest.
I remember another point. You must not talk all the time during a
conversation. You must also listen. Then, the other person will also be interested in
listening to you. I think this point is right. We should listen to what others have to
say too.
