Topic or question to be explored:

Since the GASAM (The Graffiti and Street Art Museum) is in the infant/developing
stages, what may be a way that it can start generating profit to be a successful,
independent, running museum that can contribute to their overall goal of a grand
opening?

Reasons for selecting this topic:

I selected this topic because I take an interest in the local art scene in my city and
am always looking for ways to support it. I would be assisting in giving back to
Aerosol Warfares museum branch by creating a strategic plan/blueprints to
jumpstart fundraising for The GASAM to go into their museum funds. I will do my
part by generating a list of possible artists to donate into the funding raffle/auction,
making a form for them to state their donations and how much their pieces would
sell for and base a price off of the forms info, generate & send a letter that
introduces our mission to the artists, and lastly record artists who responded back
and generate an amount of money the GASAM would be making from the donations
& artists I reached out to.

Project Mission Statement:

This capstone project is helping to jump start fundraising for The GASAM in
providing the public, artists and scholars of the creative arts with a visual showcase
and destination for graffiti and street art, not only providing permanent and visiting
exhibitions but also providing a forum for the public to explore their own artistic
talents with onsite lectures and interactive workshops. The museum is working to
preserve street art history by authenticating historical timelines of the graffiti and
street art movements, while also promoting the art forms of todays creative artistic
community. Before we can help the GASAM accomplish this, our job is to establish
the foundation for funding these activities and individual goals. This will consist of
helping generate money in a variety of ways such as creating a detailed auction &
raffle plan to benefit the grand opening of the GASAM.
