Beginning the Lesson
3-5 Class Opener
mins To review shortly the lesson yesterday, the teacher will ask for three volunteers. The three
volunteers will pick up a stick on the jar (attached to every stick is the name of their
classmates). The name they will be pick will be the one who will answer the question
from the volunteer students relating to NOUNS.

After that, the teacher will flash again the riddle given yesterday:

To control the excitement of students especially those who got the answer, you will let those who
had answer and sure of their answers go on the right side. Those who had answer but unsure and
no answer at all on the left side. Let those group on the right plan have a group role play to let the
group on the left side guess the correct answer. After all of them figures out the correct answer,
the teacher will flash on the screen the answer: PRONOUN.
Developing the Lesson

5-7 Paragraph Observation

to read it out loud. The the teacher will start to ask the following questions to enhance
their thinking of the new lesson.

replace them. Personal pronouns replace nouns that refer to people or things.

After the discussion, each of the empty table should be filled in with pronouns on exact
positions. This will serve as students note of todays lesson.

10-15 Paste the pronoun


mins. The student will be in pair or triad. The teacher will provide 5 strips of paper with them
and they will blindly pick 5 red square paper with a pronoun. Their task is to paste the red
square on the appropriate strip of paper that substitute the noun to pronouns

The trick is the possibility of not all their 5 red square papers are exactly the answer they
need for their strips of paper. So what they have to do is to ask for the exact pronoun they
need to the teacher in exchange of saying one-sentence-I-learned-today.

When they are done, they will exchange their 5 strips of papers to other pair/triad and
check it. They will put smiley face when it is correct and put a sad face with correct
pronoun when if it is wrong.

3-5 Closing the Lesson

Review
In review, the teacher will recap the paragraph flashed on the beginning of the class. The
words are change with a correction. They will read it out loud. The students will identify
the changes:

One day the doctor asked her assistant, James, to hand her the appointment calendar.
