To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure and honor that I am writing this letter of

recommendation for Angelica Quiroz. In the past four years, I have gotten to know and
worked closely with Angie. I previously taught Angie for my CAHSEE Prep and
AVID/seminar courses since her sophomore year. Since then, I have worked closely
with Angie in two extracurricular programs: The College Initiative, a college and career
prep initiative, and Fashion Club. Based on my experience working with Angie, I can
describe her as a compassionate, mature and driven individual who has the
determination and commitment required to be successful in the 21st century.

Since ninth grade, Angie has been consistent in showing exemplary dedication
and commitment to her work. She earned awards recognizing her work habits and
outstanding citizenship. Accolades that she has earned are: Honor Roll, Academic
Award, Student of the Month and High Honor Roll. These awards are just a glimpse of
Angies drive in her education. Academically, Angie h as managed to keep a GPA above a
3.0 due to her diligence, hard work, and persistence. Angie has also taken course at our
local community college (Santa Ana College) and Concordia University. This is an
accomplishment that not many high school students from our community have
achieved and yet, Angie has managed to do so. Once again, proving that no goal or
dream is too big to dream or conquer.

Angie has also demonstrated her commitment and leadership to serving those in
our community. Since her freshmen year, she has been involved in community service
and extracurricular activities. She has volunteered for a non-profit organization THINK
Together; here, she served as a tutor, mentor and role model to elementary students.
She has volunteered tirelessly at our school and at our local New Song Church; she has
helped set up equipment for free classes members of our community take on a weekly
basis. At last, Angie has been involved in Fashion Club where she has encouraged others
express themselves through fashion and promote self-confidence amongst her peers in
high school. She has used her interpersonal, communicative and collaborative skills to
serve those in her community and become involved in high school activities.

The academics at NOVA Academy Early College High School encourage students
to master all their coursework material. Despite these high standards, Angie h
as been
successful and has prioritized her education to earn her high school diploma and earn
college credit. I am immensely proud to have been her teacher and mentor and I am
