Title: EMC L1 Analyst Responsible to: EMC L1 Team Lead
Number of Subordinates: 0 Grade: G8

OVERALL PURPOSE:
Provide first level support for Schlumbergers global network, server and security infrastructure.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:


Remotely monitoring and reacting to infrastructure monitoring alarm incidents utilizing the
incident management tools.
Working with one of the four Shift Leaders of the Enterprise Management Center (EMC).
Working 12 hours shift, day and night rotation every 2 weeks.
Working with IT personnel of all levels.
Adhering to all standards of confidentiality and security
COORDINATION OF ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONS SUPPORT WITHIN EMC INCLUDE:
Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents per documented procedures.
Updating Incident log for troubleshooting.
Prioritization of client requests.
Identifying incorrect information on documents within the Network Operations Center and
assist on maintaining information integrity.
Follow business support strategy and direction.
Training plan and schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

EDUCATION
Engineering or Science bachelors degree required. Electronic Engineering/Computer Science/IT
degree beneficial and preferred.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have strong communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to work
closely with a team of dedicated individuals.
Analytically minded with excellent problem solving skills.
Oilfield knowledge and background a plus.
Computer and Networking Hardware knowledge required.
Basic IP network protocols knowledge required.
Cisco CCNA a plus.
