Accident Boy
Neil Carruthers is only twelve years old but he knows all about accidents. I must watch him
every minute of the day, says his mum, Teresa. A simple thing like a birthday party can be a
disaster with Neil. When he was three, Neil was on a bus one day when the bus made a
dramatic stop. Neil went up in the air and hit his head. The bus driver didnt stop the bus he
took Neil to hospital in it. There they put a bandage on his head. Three months later he had a
terrible cut on his finger because he put his finger in the door just when his mum was closing
it. He went to hospital again. In 2002 Neil ran across the road to meet his sister and a car hit
him. He was lucky because he didnt break anything, but he went to hospital again. Then he
had another car accident three months later. He also fell into a canal and somebody rescued
him.
Now Teresa always has lots of bandages, creams, aspirins, pills Shes just waiting for Neils
next accident!
