DRAWING MEDIUMS DAY 2 2

Body:
The students will be given two pieces of paper. For the majority
of the class, the students will practice making marks using
charcoal on one of the sheets of paper. They will explore the
types of marks they leave and how they can manipulate them to
create variety. Smudging and removing charcoal fibres will be
practiced shown and practiced. I will walk around and observe
the students work and will provide advice and demonstrations
when we deem them necessary. Once complete, they will show
me for approval and I will then direct them towards a mini
drawing assignment using the same medium, carried out on the
second piece of paper. I will do a demo of this also.
Draw a 3D shape (sphere, cone, cylinder, cube, etc.)
Closure:
I will collect the students drawings with their names on the
papers, and inform them of what they will be doing the next
week: graphite.
