GaryWebb,aPulitzerprizewinninginvestigativereporterwhoworkedfortheSanJoseMercuryNews,wrotea
seriesofarticlesabouttheCIA'sinvolvementinthedrugindustry.TheSanJoseMercuryNewsverifiedthe
informationandpublishedthearticles,butseveralweekslatersomeonecontactedtheeditorofthenewspaper
andtoldhimtofireGaryWebbandblacklisthim.Asaresult,GaryWebbcouldn'tgetajobatanynewspaperin
theUnitedStates,andseveralyearslaterhe[allegedly]committedsuicidebyshootinghimselfintheheadtwice
tobecertainhewasdead.[4]
ThatsituationhasexistedintheUnitedStatesforoverahundredyears.
JohnSwintonwastheeditorialpageeditoroftheNewYorkTimesfrom18601870.Whenheaddressedagroup
ofjournalistsattheTwilightClubinNewYorkCityonApril12,1883,hestated:
"ThereisnosuchthinginAmericaasanindependentpress,unlessitisinthecountrytowns.You
knowitandIknowit.Thereisnotoneofyouwhodaretowritehishonestopinions,andifyoudid
youknowbeforehandtheywouldneverappearinprint.Iampaid$150aweekforkeepingmy
honestopinionsoutofthepaperIamconnectedwith.Othersofyouarepaidsimilarsalariesfor
doingsimilarthings.IfIshouldpermithonestopinionstobeprintedinoneissueofmypaper,like
Othello,beforetwentyfourhours,myoccupationwouldbegone....Weareintellectualprostitutes."

Verylittlehaschangedsincethattimeexceptforthefactthatmembersofthesecretcabalcontrolmoremedia
outlets,andtheyhavedevelopedverysophisticatedmethodsofcontrollingtherealityoftheAmericanpeople.
Onrareoccasionsacourageousmemberofthemediahastriedtoexposetheinfluenceofthesecretcabal.
RichardHarwoodworkedforTheWashingtonPostfor22years,andduringthoseyearshewrotewhathewas
toldtowrite,butafterRichardHarwoodretired,hewroteanarticletitled"RulingClassJournalists"thatexposed
thetotalitarianinfluenceoftheCouncilonForeignRelations.Whyisthatimportant?It'simportantbecausethe
CFRisoneofthemajor"frontorganizations"forthesecretcabalthatcontrolsournation.
OnOctober30,1993,RichardHarwoodwrote:
"Thepresidentisamember.Soishissecretaryofstate,thedeputysecretaryofstate,allfiveof
theundersecretaries,severaloftheassistantsecretariesandthedepartment'slegaladviser.The
president'snationalsecurityadviserandhisdeputyaremembers.ThedirectorofCentral
Intelligence(likeallpreviousdirectors)andthechairmanoftheForeignIntelligenceAdvisory
Boardaremembers.Thesecretaryofdefense,threeundersecretariesandatleastfourassistant
secretariesaremembers.Thesecretariesofthedepartmentofhousingandurbandevelopment,
interior,healthandhumanservices...aremembersalongwiththespeakeroftheHouseandthe

If Richard Harwood's information is correct, why don't the American people realize the CFR
controls the American government?RichardHarwood'sarticlewaspublishedonabackpageofThe

What is the Trilateral Commission? What is the CFR? Who controls the organizations?Wheredid

Beforeyoucanunderstandtheanswertothosequestions,youmustlearnthepurposeandgoalofthesecret
societythatCecilRhodesfoundedin1891becausetheCFR,theBilderbergs,andtheTrilateralCommissionare
descendentsofthatcovertorganization.
ProfessorCarrollQuigleywasoneoftheleadinghistoriansofthetwentiethcentury,andtaughtatPrincetonand
HarvardbeforeheacceptedapositionatGeorgetownUniversity.ProfessorQuigleyaccidentlydiscoveredCecil
Rhodes'secretsociety.Heresearcheditfortwentyyears,examinedtheirsecretrecords,andwrotetwobooks
aboutthecovertmovement.ProfessorQuigley'sfirstbook,"TheAngloAmericanEstablishment,"was
completedin1949or1950,butitwassuppressedfor30years.Hissecondbook,"TragedyandHope:AHistory
oftheWorldinOurTime,"wassuppressedfor68years,butbothbooksareavailabletoday.
How did Professor Quigley learn about the secret society?SirAlfredZimmernwasamemberoftheinner

coreoftheGroupfrom1910to1922,buthebecamedisillusioned,andgraduallydriftedawayfromthecovert
movement.Twentyfouryearslater,SirZimmernmetProfessorQuigley,andtoldhimabouttheGroup,but
ZimmernmadeQuigleypromisehewouldn'trevealthesourceofhisinformation.
How do I know that took place?IvisitedGeorgetownUniversityin1980,andreadthelettersCarrollQuigley

wrotetoAlfredZimmernandthelettersAlfredZimmernwrotetoCarrollQuigleyaswellashundredsofother
lettersanddocuments.Inaddition,ProfessorQuigley'sbook,"TheAngloAmericanEstablishment,"mentions
thefactthatAlfredZimmernwasamemberoftheinnercircleofthesecretsocietyfrom1910to1922,but
didn'trevealthesourceofthatinformation.[9]
ProfessorQuigley'ssecondbook,"TragedyandHope:AHistoryoftheWorldinOurTime,"chroniclestheorigin
ofCecilRhodes'secretsociety.ProfessorQuigley'stextisprintedinboldtype.Myanalysisisprintedinregular
type:
"Until1870therewasnoprofessorshipoffineartsatOxford,butinthatyear...JohnRuskinwas
namedtosuchachair.HehitOxfordlikeanearthquake,notsomuchbecausehetalkedabout
finearts,butbecausehetalkedalsoabouttheempireandEngland'sdowntroddenmasses...Until
theendofthenineteenthcenturythepovertystrickenmassesinthecitiesofEnglandlivedin
want,ignorance,andcrimeverymuchastheyhavebeendescribedbyCharlesDickens.
"RuskinspoketotheOxfordundergraduatesasmembersoftheprivileged,rulingclass.Hetold
themthattheywerethepossessorsofamagnificenttraditionofeducation,beauty,ruleoflaw,
freedom,decency,andselfdisciplinebutthattraditioncouldnotbesaved,anddidnotdeserveto
besaved,unlessitcouldbeextendedtothelowerclassesinEnglanditselfandtothenonEnglish
massesthroughouttheworld.Ifthisprecioustraditionwerenotextendedtothesetwogreat
majorities,theminorityofupperclassEnglishmenwouldultimatelybesubmergedbythese
majoritiesandthetraditionlost.Topreventthis,thetraditionmustbeextendedtothemassesand

ProfessorRuskin'smessageappealedtotheidealismofmanyoftheyoungmenwhoheardthelecture,butthey
didn'trealizeJohnRuskinwasdeeplyinvolvedintheoccult,orthattheywerebeingrecruitedintoasinister
programthatwouldeventuallydestroytheBritishEmpire,andtheChristianfoundationofwestern
civilization.[11]
DespitethefactthatProfessorQuigleywasoneoftheleadinghistoriansofthetwentiethcentury,Iamcertainhe
wasn'tawareofthespiritualimplicationsofJohnRuskin'slecture,orthespiritualforcethatguidedtheevents
thatfollowed.
ProfessorQuigleycontinued:
"Ruskin'smessagehadasensationalimpact.Hisinaugurallecturewascopiedoutinlonghandby
oneundergraduate,CecilRhodes,whokeptitwithhimforthirtyyears.Rhodes...feverishly
exploitedthediamondandgoldfieldsofSouthAfrica,rosetobeprimeministeroftheCape
Colony,...contributedmoneytopoliticalparties,controlledparliamentaryseatsinbothEngland
andinSouthAfrica,andsoughttowinastripofBritishterritoryacrossAfricafromtheCapeof
GoodHopetoEgypt,andtojointhesetwoextremestogetherwithatelegraphlineandultimately
withaCapetoCairoRailway.RhodesinspireddevotedsupportforhisgoalsfromothersinSouth
AfricaandinEngland.WithfinancialsupportfromLordRothschildandAlfredBeit,hewas
abletomonopolizethediamondminesofSouthAfricaasDeBeersConsolidatedMinesandto
buildupagreatgoldminingenterpriseasConsolidatedGoldFields."[12]
How did Cecil Rhodes acquire his wealth?LordRothschildprovidedmostofthefundsthatCecilRhodes

usedtoacquirethediamondminesandgoldproductionofSouthAfrica.WhydidLordRothschildprovidethe
money?CecilRhodeswasaMason,andLordRothschildwasdeeplyinvolvedintheoccult.Whyisthat
important?It'simportantbecausemanyofthemenwhoamassedgreatwealthatthattimewereMasons,or
involvedintheoccult,andthesamesituationexiststoday.
WhenIexaminedProfessorCarrollQuigley'spapersin1980,IfoundacopyofCecilRhodes'"Confessionof
Faith."Thedocumentwaswrittenin1873,anditstated:
"Theideagleaminganddancingbeforeoneseyeslikeawillofthewispatlastframesitselfintoa
plan.WhyshouldwenotformasecretsocietywithbutoneobjectthefurtheranceoftheBritish
EmpireandthebringingofthewholeuncivilisedworldunderBritishrulefortherecoveryofthe
UnitedStates,forthemaking(of)theAngloSaxonracebutoneEmpire."[13]
CecilRhodeswantedtobring"thewholeuncivilisedworldunderBritishrule,"andwantedtounitetheworld.
"Inthemiddle1890'sRhodeshadapersonalincomeofatleastamillionpoundssterlingayear
(thenaboutfivemilliondollars)whichwasspentsofreelyforhismysteriouspurposesthathewas
usuallyoverdrawnonhisaccount.ThesepurposescenteredonhisdesiretofederatetheEnglish
speakingpeopleandtobringallthehabitableportionsoftheworldundertheircontrol.Forthis
purposeRhodesleftpartofhisgreatfortunetofoundtheRhodesScholarshipsatOxfordin
ordertospreadtheEnglishrulingclasstraditionthroughouttheEnglishspeakingworldasRuskin
hadwanted.

How did Professor Quigley learn the details of the formation of Cecil Rhodes' secret society?Cecil
RhodesandWilliamSteadorganizedthesecretsocietyonFebruary5,1891,butseveralyearslaterSteadwas
expelledbecausehedisagreedwithRhodes'efforttoincitetheBoerWar.Asaresult,WilliamSteaddescribed
theformationofthesecretsocietyinhisdiary,andwroteseveralarticlesaboutthecovertorganization.
ProfessorQuigleywrotetwobooksaboutCecilRhodes'secretsociety.Hecompletedthemanuscriptof"The
AngloAmericanEstablishment,"in1949or1950,butthecabalcontrolledmostofthemajorpublishinghouses
intheUnitedStates,soProfessorQuigleycouldn'tgethisbookpublished.WhenIexaminedProfessor
Quigley'spapersatGeorgetownUniversityin1980,Ifoundapartialcopyofthemanuscript,butthecomplete
textofthebookwasn'tavailable."TheAngloAmericanEstablishment"waspublishedthefollowingyear(1981),
fouryearsafterProfessorQuigleydied,andonthefirstpageofthebook,ProfessorQuigleywrote:
"TheRhodesScholarships,establishedbythetermsofCecilRhodes'sseventhwill,areknownto
everyone.WhatisnotsowidelyknownisthatRhodesinfivepreviouswillslefthisfortunetoform
asecretsocietywhichwastodevoteitselftothepreservationandexpansionoftheBritishEmpire.
"Andwhatdoesnotseemtobeknowntoanyoneisthatthissecretsocietywascreatedby
Rhodesandhisprincipaltrustee,LordMilner,andcontinuestoexisttothisday.
"Tobesure,thissecretsocietyisnotachildishthingliketheKuKluxKlan,anditdoesnothave
anysecretrobes,secrethandclasps,orsecretpasswords.Itdoesnotneedanyofthese,sinceits
membersknoweachotherintimately.Itprobablyhasnooathsofsecrecynoranyformal
procedureofinitiation.Itdoes,however,existandholdssecretmeetings,overwhichthesenior

Initiallytheinnercoreofthesecretsocietywascalled"TheCircleofInitiates,"thesecondtierwas"The
AssociationofHelpers,"from1901to1910thethirdtierwascalled"Milner'sKindergarden,"andfrom1910
to1920itwascalled"TheRoundTable"or"theGroup."[16]Thefollowingyear(1921)thecabalestablished
theCouncilonForeignRelationsintheUnitedStatesandbranchesoftheRoyalInstituteofInternational
Affairs(RIIA)intheCommonwealthnations.[17]Fiftytwoyearslater(1973)thecovertmovementestablished
theTrilateralCommission.
What did they accomplish?ThesecretsocietyincitedtheBoerWar,theyprecipitatedandprolongedWorld

WarI,theyorchestratedWorldWarII,theytransferredEasternEuropeandChinatothecommunists,they
gottheU.S.andGreatBritaintofightanowinwarinKoreaandanowinwarinVietnam,theydestroyedthe
infrastructureofAfghanistanandIraq,andthemoderndayextensionofthecovertmovementistryingto
precipitateawarwithIranandtheMuslimworld.[18]
Why do they want to precipitate a war?Theybelievethechaosgeneratedbythefinancialcrisisandthe

sufferingcausedbythecomingwarwillforcenationstorelinquishtheirsovereignty.HenryKissingersaid,
"Thealternativetoanewinternationalorderischaos."[19]Thathasbeenthequestofthesecretsocieties
downthroughtheages.ItwastheintentofCecilRhodes'secretsociety,anditisthegoaloftheTrilateral
Commission,theCFR,andtheBilderbergstoday.[20]
SenatorBarryGoldwaterwarnedtheAmericanpeopleaboutthedangerposedbytheCFRandtheTrilateral
Commissionin1979whenhewrote:
"WhereastheCouncilonForeignRelationsisdistinctlynationalinmembership,theTrilateral
Commissionisinternational...Itisintendedtobethevehicleformultinationalconsolidationof
thecommercialandbankinginterestsbyseizingcontrolofthepoliticalgovernmentoftheUnited

Does the Trilateral Commission (and the CFR) control the U.S. government today? Yes.Between
1977and2008,everypresidentand/orvicepresidentoftheUnitedStateswasamemberoftheTrilateral
Commission:i.e.JimmyCarter,WalterMondale,GeorgeH.W.Bush,BillClinton,AlGore,andDickCheney.In
addition,duringthetwentyoneyearperiod(priorto2009):sixoftheeightpresidentsoftheWorldBankwere
membersoftheTC,eightofthe10U.S.TraderepresentativesweremembersoftheTC,sevenofthetwelve
secretariesofstateweremembersoftheTC,nineofthetwelvesecretariesofdefenseweremembersofthe
TC,andmostoftheotherkeypositionsintheRepublicanandDemocratadministrationswereheldbymembers
oftheCFR.[22]AtthepresenttimeTCmembershold1112keypositionsintheObamaAdministration,andmost
oftheotherkeypositionsareheldbymembersoftheCFR.

economicrecession.
Icannottellyouwhatliesahead,butIfeartheUnitedStateswillsoonbeatwarwithIran,andtherewillbe

ThevastmajorityoftheAmericanpeoplecan'tanswerthosequestionsbecausethereisaconsciouseffortto
concealthetruth.Ifyouwanttolearnthecauseofthehighlevelofunemployment,orwhythefederal
governmentdoesn'tenforcetheimmigrationlaws,youmustrecognizethefactthattherearetwopossible
explanationsforeverysituation.
Theproblemeitheroccurredbyaccident(theaccidentalviewofhistory),oritwasplanned(theconspiratorial
viewofhistory).GaryAllenandLarryAbrahamproposedthatconceptintheirbook,NoneDareCallit
Conspiracy.Theauthorsclaimedmajoreventsareplanned,andtheCouncilonForeignRelations(CFR)was
(is)a"front"forasecretsocietythatcontrolstheworld,[6]
GaryAllencompletedhismanuscriptin1971,buthecouldn'tfindapublisherbecausethemembersofthe
CouncilonForeignRelationscontrolledmostofthemajorpublishinghousesintheU.S.atthattime,
andtheydidn'twantthepublictoknowabouttheirorganization.[7]Asaresult,GaryAllenprintedtenmillion
paperbackcopiesofhisbook,anddistributedthembydirectmailandthroughotherchannels.
MillionsofpeoplereadNoneDareCallItConspiracyinthe1970s,andlearnedaboutthesecretsocietythat
createdtheCouncilonForeignRelations.Thousandofcopieswereinitiallyavailableinusedbookstores,but
theygraduallydisappearedbecause(Isuspect)theBrotherhoodofDarkness(BOD)purchasedthebooksand
systematicallydestroyedthem.
ItisverydifficulttofindacopyofNoneDareCallItConspiracyinausedbookstoretoday.WhenIwrotethis
letter,Amazonhad14neworusedcopiesofthepaperbackeditionofNoneDareCallitConspiracy.What
happenedtotheother10millioncopiesofGaryAllen'spaperbackbook?
DoestheBODsuppressbookstoday?Certainly.Ifoneoftheirpublishinghousesreleasesabookthatreveals
thetruth,thebookisrecalled,andthecopiesaredestroyed.
Duringmostofthetwentiethcentury,ifanindependentpublisherreleasedabookthatexposedtheCFR,the
companywaspurchased,andthebookwassuppressed.ThathappenedtoProfessorQuigley'sbook,Tragedy
andHope:AHistoryoftheWorldinOurTime.TheBODpurchasedMacmillan,and"accidentallydestroyed"the
platesofthefirsthalfofProfessorQuigley'sbook[8]AsimilarthinghappenedtoMonicaJensenStevenson's
book,KissTheBoysGoodbye.Monicatoldmesomeonepurchasedthecompanythatrepublishedherbook,
and"accidentally"shredded5,000copies.[9]
Inseveralinstances,theBrotherhoodofDarkness(BOD)hasencouragedpeopletofilelibelsuitsagainst
companiesthatpublishedbooksthatexposed"theconspiracy."Thathappenedtothecompanythatpublished
MonicaJensenStevenson'ssecondbook,SpiteHouse,andTrineDay,thecompanythatpublishedLt.Colonel
DanielMarvin'sbook,TheExpendableElite.[10]
Inrecentyearsthesituationhaschanged.Millionsofpeoplelistentoalternativeradiobroadcastseveryday,and
theyhavelearnedabouttheBOD'ssubversiveefforttoestablishworldgovernment,andthatisimportant
because:
"Ifanationexpectstobeignorantandfree,inastateofcivilization,itexpectswhatneverwasand

ThomasJeffersonpennedthosewordsin1816,andtheyarestilltruetoday.Ifwearetoremainfree,wemust
exposethedarkspiritualforce(theBOD)thatcontrolsournation.
GaryAllen'sbook,NoneDareCallitConspiracy,isstilloneofthebestsourcesofinformationontheoriginof
thesubversivemovementthatcontrolstheUnitedStates,butthebookdoesn'tdiscusstheTrilateral
Commissionorthespiritualforcethatenergizestheefforttounitetheworld.

WhowasFrankAydelotte,andwhyisheveryimportanttoday?FrankAydelottewasaRhodesScholar,hewas
presidentoftheAssociationofRhodesTrustees,andhewroteabooktitledTheVisionOfCecilRhodes.The
followinginformationcomesfromthatbook.
"ThesevenwillswhichCecilRhodesmadebetweentheagesoftwentyfourandfortysix
constituteakindofspiritualautobiography.Whiletheycontainnoreferencetotheeventsofhis
life,theyreflectthemostimportantpartofhim,hisidealsandaspirations,andthedevelopmentof
histhoughtsastohowthoseaspirationscouldbestberealized....
Bestknownarethefirst(theSecretSocietyWill,writtenwhilehewasstillanundergraduate),
andthelast,whichestablishedtheRhodesScholarships.ThegradualchangeinRhodes's
thinkingwhichledhimtogiveuphisplanforasecretsocietyandturninsteadtoagreatandnovel

Thatisaveryimportantpassage.FrankAydelotteclaimsCecilRhodes'gaveuphisplanforasecret
society,'butFrankAydelotteknewthatwasn'ttruebecauseheledtheAmericanbranchoftheglobalist
movementformanyyears.HewasalsoamemberoftheCouncilonForeignRelations(CFR)thatwas(is)a
"front"fortheRoundTable(Milner)Group,andtheRoundTablewas(is)a"front"fortheAssociationof
Helpers,theinnercircleofCecilRhodes'secretsociety.[14]
How do we know Cecil Rhodes created a secret society, and that the inuence of that movement
exists today?

TheconceptinspiredCecilRhodes.HerecordedJohnRuskin'swordsinlonghand,andcarriedthemwithhim
duringtheremainderofhislife.FrankAydelottecontinued:

hemadehisfirstwillin1877,Rhodesoutlinesthegreatpurposeofhislife:[27]Hewrote:'...to

FrankAydelottedeletedthesectionofRhodes'"ConfessionofFaith"thatstated:
"Theideagleaminganddancingbeforeoneseyeslikeawillofthewispatlastframesitselfintoa
plan.Whyshouldwenotformasecretsocietywithbutoneobject:thefurtheranceofthe
BritishEmpireandthebringingofthewholeuncivilisedworldunderBritishrulefortherecoveryof
theUnitedStatesforthemakingtheAngloSaxonracebutoneEmpire.Whatadream,butyetitis

FrankAydelottecontinued:

CecilRhodesclaimedhewantedtocreate"thefoundationofsogreatapowerastohereafterrenderwars
impossible,"butthatwasn'ttrue.CecilRhodesandAlfredMilner(theBritishHighCommissionerofSouthAfrica)
precipitatedtheBoerWarbecausetheywantedtoexpandtheBritishEmpire.TheEnglisharmysustained
100,000casualtiesinthewar,andovertwentyeightthousandAfrikanerwomenandchildrenwerestarved
and/ordiedoftyphoidfeverinMilner'sprisoncamps.RhodesandMilnerwantedthecarnagetocontinue,
buttheBritishParliamentintervenedandstoppedthebrutalwar.

MyJune2010RadioLibertyletterdiscussedCecilRhodes'secretsociety(theBrotherhoodofDarknessBOD),
andtheirefforttounitetheworld.ThecovertgroupincitedtheBoerWar(1899)becausetheywantedtoexpand
theBritishEmpire,andendwar.TheEnglisharmysustained100,000casualties,theBoerarmylost7,000men,
and18,00028,000womenandchildrendiedinconcentrationcamps,buttheBODwonthatconflict,andbegan
planningtheirnextwar.[8]
IfyoutrytodeterminethecauseofWorldWarI,youwon'tfindalogicalexplanationbecausetheBOD
controlledmostofthemajormediaoutlets,andthetruth.What,orwho,wasresponsiblefortheGreatWar?
ProfessorCarrollQuigleystudiedthatperiod,andcompiledalistofthosewhocontrolledtheBritishgovernment
atthattime.SomeweremembersofCecilRhodes'secretsociety.TheywereImperialists,andallwerecloseto
theMilnerGroup.
ProfessorQuigleywrote:
"AfterthesplitintheLiberalPartyin1886,itwasthemembersoftheCecilBlocwhobecame
Unionists....(anded)asaresult,theCecilBlocbecameincreasinglyapoliticalforce....almost
alltheothermembersoftheBlocwereUnionistsorConservatives.Thechiefexceptionswerethe
fourleadersoftheLiberalParty....whowerestrongimperialists:Rosebery,Asquith,EdwardGrey,

Why is that important? It'simportantbecauseCecilRhodes'secretsociety(andtheirallies)incitedtheBoer

War,andmanyofthesamemen(theMilnerGroup)incitedWorldWarI.Someweremembersofadinnerclub
calledthe"Coefficients"thatplayedanimportantroleinBritishpolitics,[10]andtherewereothermenwho
wantedawar.SomewereMasons,otherswereaffiliatedwiththeoccultmovementthatpermeatedthe
worldatthattime.
ProfessorQuigleylistedthemenwhocontrolledtheBritishgovernmentwhentheGreatWarbegan:
eLordRobertCecil.Hewasawealthybanker,heldseveralimportantpostsintheBritishgovernmentduring
theFirstWorldWar,wasamemberoftheCoefficients,andamemberofCecilRhodes'secretsociety.[11]
eLordHerbertH.Asquith.HewasBritishPrimeMinisterfrom19081916,helpedSirEdwardGreyprecipitate
WorldWarI,andwasafriendofLordMilner.Hiswife,MargaretAsquith,hadabriefaffairwithLordMilner,and
sheoftenhaddinnerwithArthurBalfourwhowasamemberofCecilRhodes'secretsociety.[12]
eSirEdwardGrey.HewastheBritishForeignMinisterfrom1905to1916.Hedevisedthesecrettreatythat
precipitatedWorldWarI,wasamemberoftheCoefficients,aclosefriendofLordMilner,andhemayhavebeen

eViscountHaldane.HewasSecretaryofStateforWar,andsentmilitarysuppliestoFrancepriortoWorldWar
I.HewasamemberoftheCoefficients,andwasaclosefriendofLordMilner.[14]
eLordRosebery.HewasPrimeMinisterfrom18941895(duringtheJamesonRaid).HewasmarriedtoLord
Rothschild'sdaughter,andwasamemberofCecilRhodes'secretsociety.[15]
eLordRothschild.HewasafoundingmemberofCecilRhodes'secretsociety,andwhenheresigned,his
soninlaw(LordRosebery)replacedhim.[16]
eLordAlfredMilner.Heledthecovertmovement(Rhodes'secretsociety)afterCecilRhodesdiedin1902.
HewasthesecondmostpowerfulmanintheBritishgovernmentafter1916(duringthelasttwoyearsofthe
GreatWar),andhewasamemberoftheCoefficients.[17]
What was the "Coefcients," and why was it important?H.G.Wells'book,ExperimentinAutobiography,

states:
"TheonlyrepresentativeofthatBoerWarImperialistgroupIevermetwasLordMilner.He
seemedtomeaboldthinkingman,hamperedbypoliticreservations....Icameacrosshimina
curiouslittletalkinganddiningclub,the'Coefficients,'whichmetmonthlythroughoutthesession
(ofParliamented)between1902and1908todiscussthefutureofthisperplexing,promising,
andfrustratingEmpireofours.
"Incertainrespectsourclubrepresentedsomethingthatseemsnow,Ithink,tohavefadedout
fromcontemporaryEnglishlife.Ithadthegesturesifnotthespiritoffreeinterrogation.Ithadan
airofasking'Whatarewedoingwiththeworld?Whatarewegoingtodo?'"[18]
MostofthememberswereImperialists,andmanyofthemwantedanotherwar.
"Theclubincludedthequeerestdiversityofbrains.Itsfoundationwas,Ibelieve,suggestedby
Mrs.SidneyWebb[FabianSocialist].ItwasinauguratedbyameetingintheflatofSirEdward
GreyandMr.Haldane...inWhitehallCourtandthefirstassemblyincludedsuchincongruous
elementsasBertrandRussell...SidneyWebb[FabianSocialist]...LeoMaxse(alreadyin1902
denouncingtheGermanPerilanddemandingtheGreatWar),...L.S.Amery,andH.J.
Mackinder....LateronwewerejoinedbyLordRobertCecil,MichaelSadler,...LordMilner,John
HughSmith,ColonelRepington...andothers."[19]
Thememberswerebankers,financiers,militaryleaders,andsocialists,andtheycontrolledtheBritish
governmentatthattime.
H.G.Wellscontinued:
"TheBritishEmpire,Isaid,hadtobetheprecursorofaworldstateornothing.Iappealedto
geography.ItwaspossiblefortheGermansandAustrianstoholdtogetherintheirZollverein
becausetheywereplacedlikeaclenchedfistinthecenterofEurope.ButtheBritishEmpirewas
likeanopenhandallovertheworld.Ithadnonaturaleconomicunityanditcouldmaintainno
artificialeconomicunity.Itsessentialunitymustbeaunityofgreatideasembodiedinthe
Englishspeechandliterature....IwasstillclingingtothedearbeliefthattheEnglishspeaking
communitymightplaythepartofleaderandmediatortowardsaworldcommonweal.Itwasto
beafreetrading,freespeaking,liberatingfluxformankind.Russell,PemberReevesandWebb
andpossiblyHaldaneandGreyhad,Ithink,alessclearlyexpresseddispositioninthesame

SirEdwardGreyattendedthemonthlymeetings,andin1905hepresentedtheplanthatprecipitatedWorldWar
I.BertrandRusselldescribedthatevent:
"In1902Ibecameamemberofasmalldiningclubcalled'TheCoefficients',gotupbySidney
WebbforthepurposeofconsideringpoliticalquestionsfromamoreorlessImperialist
pointofview.ItwasinthisclubthatIfirstbecameacquaintedwithH.G.Wells,ofwhomIhad
neverhearduntilthen.Hispointofviewwasmoresympathetictomethanthatofanyother
member.Mostofthemembers,infact,shockedmeprofoundly...OneeveningSirEdwardGrey
(nottheninoffice)madeaspeechadvocatingthepolicyoftheEntente,whichhadnotyetbeen
adoptedbytheGovernment.Istatedmyobjectionstothepolicyveryforcibly,andpointedoutthe
likelihoodofitsleadingtowar,butnooneagreedwithme,soIresignedfromtheclub.Itwillbe
seenthatIbeganmyoppositiontothefirstwarattheearliestpossiblemoment."[21]
How did the Group incite "the Great War"?
SirEdwardGreywasappointedBritishForeignSecretaryin1906,andimplementedhisplantoincitethe
firstWorldWar.HegottheleadersofFranceandRussiatosignasecrettreatythatstatedthatifeither
countrywasattacked(byGermanyorAustriaHungary),theywouldjoinEngland,andcrushtheir
opponent.SirEdwardconcealedtheexistenceofthetreaty,andliedtoParliamentwhenhewasaskedabout
thesecretagreement.[22]
WhenIresearchedProfessorQuigley'spapersatGeorgetownUniversity,Ifoundanotation,presumablywritten
byCecilRhodes,thatstated:"IwantbothGreys."IsuspectthenotereferredtoAlbertGrey(EarlGrey)andSir
EdwardGrey,butProfessorQuigleydidn'tmentionSirEdwardwhenhecompiledhislistofthemembersof
CecilRhodes'secretsociety.WasSirEdwardGreyacovertmemberofthesecretorganization?Idon'tknow,
butthatisn'timportant.SirEdwardwascloselyalignedwiththesecretsocietyduringtheBoerWar,hewas
alignedwiththeMilnerGroup,andheimplementedthe"encirclementpolicy"thatprecipitatedWorldWar
I.[23]
KaiserWilhelmbelievedSirEdwardGreyincitedthewar.TheKaiserwrote:
"Delcasse(theFrenchForeignMinistered)alsohasalargeshareintheguiltfortheWorld
War,andGreyanevenlargershare,sincehewasthespiritualleaderofthe'encirclementpolicy,'
whichhefaithfullypushedforwardandbroughttocompletion."[24]
SirEdward'sfriend,ViscountHaldane(theSecretaryofWar)sentmilitarysuppliestoFranceandBelgium
beforethewarbegan.KaiserWilhelmwrote:
"Whenourtroopsadvancedin1914theyfound,innorthernFranceandalongtheBelgian
frontier,greatstoresofEnglishsoldiers'greatcoats.Accordingtostatementsbythe
inhabitants,thesewereplacedthereduringthelastyearsofpeace.MostoftheEnglish
infantrymenwhoweremadeprisonersbyusinthesummerof1914hadnogreatcoatswhen
askedwhy,theyanswered,quitenaively:'Wearetofindourgreatcoatsinthestoresat
Maubeuge,LeQuesnoy,etc.,inthenorthofFranceandinBelgium.'
"Itwasthesameregardingmaps.InMaubeugegreatquantitiesofEnglishmilitarymapsof
northernFranceandBelgiumwerefoundbyourmencopiesofthesehavebeenshowntome.
ThenamesofplaceswereprintedinFrenchandEnglish....Thesemapsdatefrom1911and
wereengravedatSouthampton.

WasProfessorQuigleyawareofthefactthattheMasonswantedtodestroytheEuropeanmonarchies,and
theCatholicChurch?IhavereadalmosteverythingthatProfessorQuigleywroteaboutCecilRhodes,hissecret
society,andthecovertorganizationstheyspawned:i.e.theMilnerGroup,theRoundTableGroup,theRoyal
InstituteforInternationalAffairs,andtheCouncilonForeignRelations.WhenIwenttoGeorgetownUniversityin

wascloselyaffiliatedwiththeMilnerGrouphegotRussiaandFrancetosignsecretagreementsthatcommitted
themtojoinEnglandiftherewasamajorwarinEurope.Severalyearslater,whenWorldWarIwasimminent,
SirEdwardGreydeniedtheexistenceofthesecretagreementsbecausetheCabinetandtheBritishpeople
didn'twanttobeinvolvedinaEuropeanwar.[6]
ProfessorQuigleyresearchedthatperiod.HeadmiredtheidealisticgoaloftheMilnerGroup(theCecilBloc),

Verylittlehaschangedsincethattime.CecilRhodes'secretsocietyincitedtheBoerWarandspawnedthe
MilnerGroup(1902),theMilnerGroupspawnedtheRoundTableGroup(1909),theRoundTableGroup
incitedWorldWarIandspawnedtheRoyalInstituteofInternationalAffairs(1919)andtheCouncilonForeign
Relations(1921),andtheCFRandtheRIIAspawnedtheBilderbergGroupin1954,andtheTrilateral
Commissionin1973.Atthepresenttimetheorganizations(theCFR,theRIIA,theBilderbergGroup,andthe
TC),have"almostcompletecontroloverthepublicationofthedocumentsrelatingtotheiractions,"they
"exercise....influenceovertheavenuesofinformationthatcreatepublicopinion,"andthey"monopolize...
completelythewritingandtheteachingofthehistoryoftheirownperiod."[9]
HowdidSirEdwardGreyprecipitatetheFirstWorldWar?KaiserWilhelmwrote
"DeclassealsohasalargeshareintheguiltfortheWorldWar,andGreyanevenlargershare,
sincehewasthespiritualleaderofthe'encirclementpolicy,'whichhefaithfullypushedforward
andbroughttocompletion."[10]
Dr.DennisCuddyresearchedthatperiod,andwrote:
"June28:AustrioHungarianarchdukeFranzFerdinandisassassinated,andthisservesasthe
catalystforthebeginningofWorldWarI.OnJuly20and29,[1914]BritishsecretaryofstateSir
EdwardGrey...willmakecertainstatementstotheGermanambassadortoEngland(PrinceKarl
MaxLichnowsky)thatdonotmakeitclearBritainwillentertheconflict(WorldWarI)ifGermany
goestowar."[11]
SirEdwardGreydevisedthe"encirclementpolicy"thatledtoWorldWarIin1905.Heimplementedthepolicy
whenhebecameForeignSecretaryin1906,andhedeceivedtheKaiserin1914becauseGreydidn'twantthe
KaisertomediatethedisputebetweenSerbiaandAustria.[12]
OneofthebestsourcesofinformationontheeventsthattookplaceatthattimeisAmbassadorGerard'sbook,
MyFirstEightythreeYearsinAmerica.JamesGerardwasU.S.AmbassadortoGermanyin1914,and,
althoughhewasn'tawareofthecovertagendaoftheMilnerGroup,herecognizedthefactthatSirEdwardGrey
precipitatedtheGreatWar.
AmbassadorGerardwrote:
"Inthisquestionoftheoutbreakofwar,itmustbenotedthatSirEdwardGreymissedagreat
opportunity.If,inthebeginning,hehadtoldtheGermanAmbassadorthatEnglandwouldgoto
waragainstGermany....theworldmighthavebeensparedagreatwarawarwhichsowedthe
seedsofanotherandgreateronetwentyfiveyearsafter."[13]
AustriadeclaredwaronSerbiaonJuly28,GermanyinvadedBelgiumonAugust3,andAmbassadorGerard
visitedKaiserWilhelmonAugust10.AmbassadorGerardwrote:
"EarlyinAugust1914PresidentWilsonsentmeamessagethroughtheStateDepartmentstating
thattheUnitedStatesstoodreadyatanytimetomediatebetweenthewarringpowers.He
directedmetopresentthisproposaltotheEmperorinperson.AnaudiencewiththeEmperor(the
Kaisered)wasarrangedformeforthemorningofAugust10.TheEmperorwasseatedatan
irontableinthelittlegardenofthepalaceinBerlin....InformallanguageImademyoffer.Itwas
declined.ThentheEmperoraskedmetositdownandtalktohim....
"TheEmperor,ononeofthefewoccasionsthatIsawhiminathoughtfulmood,hesitatedfora
momentandthensaidslowly,'No,thecominginoftheEnglishhaschangedthewholesituation.
Theyareanobstinaterace.Theywillneverstopfighting.'
"AftersomefurtherdiscussiontheEmperorsaidhewouldsendapersonalmessagetoPresident
Wilsoninanswertohisoffer.Hethenwroteinpencil,onsomelargetelegraphblankslyingonthe
table,apersonalmessagetothePresident....Ofthemosthistoricalinterestisthatpartofthe
messagereferringtoSirEdwardGrey,theBritishMinisterofForeignAffairs,andtheviolationof
Belgianneutrality.
"Themessagewasasfollows:
"ForthePresidentoftheUnitedStatespersonally:
1.H.R.H.PrinceHenrywasreceivedbyhisMajestyKingGeorgeVinLondon,who
empoweredhimtotransmittomeverbally,thatEnglandwouldremainneutralifwar
brokeoutontheContinentinvolvingGermanyandFrance,AustriaandRussia.This
messagewastelegraphedtomebymybrotherfromLondonafterhisconversation
withH.M.theKing,andrepeatedverballyonthetwentyninthofJuly."[14]
TheKing'smessageconvincedKaiserWilhelmtherewouldn'tbeamajorwar,sotheKaiserdidn'ttrytomediate
thedisputebetweenSerbiaandAustria.WhydidtheKingofEnglanddeceivehiscousin?TheMilnerGroup,
andtheirsupporters,controlledtheBritishgovernmentLordAsquithwasPrimeMinister,SirEdwardGreywas
ForeignSecretary,LordHaldanewasSecretaryofWar,andLordEsherwastheKing'spersonaladvisor.[15]
WhowasLordEsher?HewasoneofthefourfoundingmembersofCecilRhodes'secretsociety,andhe
wastheKing'spersonaladvisor.LordEsherbelievedthecomingwarwouldregeneratethenationsoftheworld.
Isthattrue?IamindebtedtoDr.DennisCuddyforcallingmyattentiontothefollowingentriesinLordEsher's
diary.
OnAugust3,1917,LordEsherwroteinhisJournal:
"NoAmericanislikelytobekilledbeforeNovember.Thisisunfortunate,as[President]
WilsonmayrequiretobesteadiedbeforethenandonlythedeathofyoungAmericanscanensure
himstability."
LaterthatdayLordEsherwrotealettertoL.B.:
"Noonecantrulysaythatthesufferingsoftheworldhavebeeninvainfortheyhaveregenerated
allnations,andoursinparticular.Cantherebeanydoubtbutthatthewarhasmadefor
progressandnotforretrogression?"[16]
TwentyonemillionpeoplediedduringtheGreatWarfiftymillionpeoplewereinjured.Didthatregenerate
theworld?
Eightdayslater(August11,1917)LordEsherwrote:
"Mr.HenryMorgenthauaskedmetocallonhim....(He)wasoneoftheprincipalsupportersof
PresidentWilsoninthecampaignforthePresidency,andhepossessesthefriendshipand
confidenceofthePresident...
"FromthedayofhiselectiontothedaywhenAmericadeclaredwarPresidentWilsonandhis
friendshavekeptsteadilyinviewthemoralregenerationoftheircountryanditiswiththis
objectivebeforethemthat,inspiteofthehorrorsofwar,theyarereadytosacrificethelives
ofAmericancitizens.ThewarappearstotheseidealistsaCrusade....
"Mr.Morgenthauisaware,andherealisestheimportanceuponthemoraleoftheFrencharmy
andtheFrenchpeopleofcementingtheAlliancebysheddingAmericanbloodattheearliest
possiblemoment.
"Ifmanyliveshavetobesacrificed,theinfluenceupontheAmericanpeoplecanonlybe
beneficent."[17]
AmbassadorGerardrecordedtheKaiser'smessagetoPresidentWilson.KaiserWilhelmIIwrote:
"2.MyAmbassadorinLondontransmittedamessagefromSirE.GreytoBerlinsayingthatonlyin
caseFrancewaslikelytobecrushedEnglandwouldinterfere."[18]
TheKing'smessageandSirEdwardGrey'smessageconvincedtheKaisertherewasnodangerofamajor
war,sohedidn'ttrytomediatethedispute.SerbiamobilizedduringthelastweekofJuly,Austriadeclared
waronSerbiaonJuly28,andIsuspecttheMasonicmovementheldkeypositionsinbothgovernments.
AmbassadorGerardrecordedKaiserWilhelm'smessagetoPresidentWilson
"3.OnthethirtiethmyAmbassadorinLondonreportedthatSirEdwardGreyincourseofa
'private'conversationtoldhimthatiftheconflictremainedlocalizedbetweenRussianotSerbia
andAustria,Englandwouldnotmove,butifwe'mixed'inthefrayshewouldtakequickdecisions
andgravemeasuresi.e.,ifIleftmyallyAustriainthelurchtofightaloneEnglandwouldnottouch
me."[19]
Atthatpoint,theKaiserbeingconfusedbytheconflictingmessages,wrote:
"4.ThiscommunicationbeingdirectlycountertotheKing'smessagetome,ItelegraphedtoH.M.
(theKing)onthetwentyninthorthirtieth,thankinghimfor[his]kindmessagesthroughmybrother
andbegginghimtouseallhispowertokeepFranceandRussiahisAlliesfrommakingany
warlikepreparationscalculatedtodisturbmyworkofmediation,statingthatIwasin
constantcommunicationwithH.M.theCzar.
"IntheeveningtheKingkindlyansweredthathehadorderedhisGovernmenttouseevery
possibleinfluencewithhisAlliestorefrainfromtakinganyprovocativemilitarymeasures.Atthe
sametimeH.MaskedmeifIwouldtransmittoViennatheBritishproposalthatAustriawasto
makeBelgradeandafewotherSerbiantownsastripofcountryasa'mainmise'tomakesure
thattheSerbianpromisesonpapershouldbefulfilledinreality.Thisproposalwasinthesame
momenttelegraphedtomefromViennaforLondon,quiteinconjunctionwiththeBritishproposal
besides,IhadtelegraphedtoH.M.theCzar[theKaiser'scousin]thesameasanideaofmine,
beforeIreceivedthetwocommunicationsfromViennaandLondon,asbothwereofthesame
opinion."
5.IimmediatelytransmittedthetelegramsviceversatoViennaandLondon.IfeltthatIwasable
totidethequestionoverandwashappyatthepeacefuloutlook."[20]
TheKaisertriedtomediatethecrisis.Whydidhefail?TheMasonswantedtodestroytheEuropean
monarchies.TheMilnerGroupwantedtounitetheworld,andtheoccultmovementwantedtoshedthebloodof
millionsofpeople.
KaiserWilhelmcontinued:
"6.WhileIwaspreparinganotetoH.M.theCzarthenextmorning,toinformhimthatVienna,
LondonandBerlinwereagreedaboutthetreatmentofaffairs,IreceivedthetelephonesfromH.E.
theChancellorthatinthenightbeforetheCzarhadgiventheordertomobilizethewholeofthe
RussianArmy,whichwas,ofcourse,alsomeantagainstGermanywhereasuptillthenthe
southernarmieshadbeenmobilizedagainstAustria."[21]
WhydidtheCzarmobilizehisarmy,andprecipitateWorldWarI?
ProfessorQuigleydescribedtheeventsthatledtothewar:
"Serbia,confidentofRussiansupport,answered[Austria]inareplywhichwaspartlyfavorable,
partlyevasive,andinoneparticularatleast(useofAustrianjudgesonSerbiantribunals)
negative.SerbiamobilizedbeforemakingherreplyAustriamobilizedagainstherassoonasit
[Serbia'sresponse]wasreceived,andon,July28th,declaredwar.TheRussianczar,under
severepressurefromhisgenerals,issued,retracted,modified,andreissuedanorderforgeneral
mobilization.
"SincetheGermanmilitarytimetableforatwofrontwarprovidedthatFrancemustbedefeated
beforeRussianmobilizatonwascompleted,FranceandGermanybothorderedmobilization
onAugust1st,andGermanydeclaredwaronRussia.AstheGermanarmiesbegantopour
westward,GermanydeclaredwaronFrance(August3rd)andBelgium(August4th).Britain
couldnotallowFrancetobedefeated,andinadditionwasmorallyentangledbythemilitary
conversationsof19061914andbythenavalagreementof1912.Moreover,theGerman
challengeonthehighseas,incommercialactivitiesthroughouttheworld,andincolonialactivities
inAfricacouldnotgounanswered.
"OnAugust4thBritaindeclaredwaronGermany,emphasizingtheiniquityofherattackon
Belgium,althoughintheCabinetmeetingofJuly29thithadbeenagreedthatsuchanattack
wouldnotlegallyobligateBritaintogotowar.Althoughthisissuewasspreadamongthepeople,
andendlessdiscussionsensuedaboutBritain'sobligationtodefendBelgianneutralityunderthe
Treatyof1839,thosewhomadethedecisionsawclearlythattherealreasonforwarwasthat
BritaincouldnotallowGermanytodefeatFrance."[22]
Mosthistorianspresentthatexplanationtodaybecausetheydon'trealizetheMasonsandtheMilnerGroup
incitedthewar.KaiserWilhelmofferedtohalttheinvasionofFrance,butSirEdwardGreyignoredtheoffer.
KaiserWilhelmcontinued:
"7.InatelegramfromLondonmyAmbassadorinformedmeheunderstoodtheBritishgovernment
wouldguaranteeneutralityofFranceandwishedtoknowwhetherGermanywouldrefrainfrom
attack.ItelegraphedtoH.M.theKingpersonallythatmobilizationbeingalreadycarriedoutcould
notbestopped,butifH.McouldguaranteewithhisarmedforcestheneutralityofFranceIwould
refrainfromattackingher,leaveheraloneandemploymytroopselsewhere.
"H.Mansweredthathethoughtmyofferwasbasedonamisunderstandingand,asfarasIcan
makeout,SirE.Greynevertookmyofferintoseriousconsideration.Heneveransweredit.
Instead,hedeclaredEnglandhadtodefendBelgianneutrality,whichhadtobeviolatedby
Germanyonstrategicgrounds,newshavingbeenreceivedthatFrancewasalreadypreparingto
enterBelgium,andtheKingofBelgianshavingrefusedmypetitionforafreepassageunder
guaranteeofhiscountry'sfreedom.IammostgratefulforthePresident'smessage."William,H.R.

WhydidtheKingofEnglandandSirEdwardGreysendtheKaiserconflictingmessages?Whydidn'tSir
EdwardGreyaccepttheKaiser'soffertohalttheinvasionofFrance?Whydidn'ttheKingofBelgiumgivethe
Germanarmypermissiontopassthroughhiscountry?Thereisagreatdealmoretothisstory,butitwillhaveto
waituntilnextmonth.
