Federal Agencies Ordered to Restrict their Communications, January 24,

The Trump administration has instructed many federal agencies to

cease communicating through social media and other news releases. The
agencies receiving this memo include the Environmental Protection Agency
and the Agriculture Department; however, the Justice and Labor
Departments and NASA have continued their normal means on
communicating with public since Trump had been inaugurated. The EPA and
the Agriculture Research Service, an entity within the Agriculture
Department, have found this memo disconcerting due to the taxpayer dollars
and the lack of communication between these agencies and the public.
White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, says due to administration
change, a review of policies [agencies sharing information publicly] should
not be a surprise.
