Reflection from prior lesson: Students learned the basic steps to throwing an object.

Materials Needed: The primary facility for these throwing activities will be in a gymnasium. The boundaries will be
set by cones and tape on the gym floor. Some materials we will use are bean bags, gator skin balls, and mats.

Contextual Factors/ Learner Characteristics: Students have different learning styles, therefore not every student can
be taught in the same way. I will get to know my students to learn their characteristics and find out what motivates
them and how to manage them in the classroom.

The Lesson
1. Introduction (5 min)
Getting attention
Upon entering the gym, students will run to the center circle, and wait for further instructions.

Relating to past experience and/or knowledge


The last class period we played spiders and flies. This is a tag game, which is a concept we will be using for
bean bag toe tag.

Creating a need to know


I will explain why todays activities will be important to help them understand the concepts of lifetime fitness
and how these concepts can assist individuals of all ages in their daily activities

Sharing objective, in general terms


The objectives for this class period are to learn the basics of throwing. Students will also learn how to follow
classroom rules and learn personal space.

Have students help pick up the equipment.
Have the kids line up by the door and wait for their teacher.
