fortheseincidentsandwho'stryingtoresolvethem.Asusual,theresonlyonesolutiontaketo
theskiesandsortitalloutwithdanmakubattles!

DanmakuisaJapanesewordmeaningcurtainfire,andisusedtodescribevideogames
calledtopdownshooters,orbullethellgames.Inthesegames,playersdodgecomplexand
oftenbeautifulpatternsofbulletsonthescreenwhiletryingtoshootdownenemies.Theword
danmakucanreferbothtothegamesthemselvesaswellasthepatternsofbulletsinthese
games.

TouhouProjectisoneofthebestknownseriesinthegenre,widelyrecognizedforitsfantastic
setting,beautifulmusic,andwidecastoffascinatinggirls.Danmaku!!bringthesebeloved
charactersandgamemechanicsfromTouhoutogethertocreateanexcitingpartystylecard
game.

Game Overview
Danmaku!!
In ,playerstakeoncharactersfromtheTouhouProjectseriesofgames.Eachplayer
hasarolecard,eachwithitsowngoal.Inthebeginning,onlytheHeroineisrevealed.Basedon
whoattackswhom,playersmustfigureoutwhoisontheirteamandworktogethertoachievea
commongoal,orriskbeingtakendownoneatatime.

Game Setup
Beforeplaying,separatecardsintopilesbasedonthecardtype.ShuffletheIncidentcardsand
setthemaside.ShuffletheMainDeckcardsandsetthemaside.ThenshuffletheCharacter
cardsandsetthemaside.

Inadditiontothesecards,eachplayerneedssomethingtokeeptrackoftheircurrentlife.This
canbeanythingdice,slipsofpaper,coins,etc.

Determine Roles
SeparatetheRolecardsbytheircolororseason.Removesomeofthesecards,basedonhow
manyplayersareplayinginthecurrentgame.Thenumberinthetoprightofthecardindicates
whethertherolecardshouldbeincludedinthecurrentgame.Forinstance, OneTruePartner
hasa7,soitshouldonlybeincludedif7ormoreplayersareplaying.Settheseunusedcards
aside.Pulloutthe
EXBossRevealedand
TruePhantomBoss cardsandsetthemaside
wheretheycanbefound.Donotmixtheminwiththeremainingrolecards.

Fortheremainingcards,shuffleeachofthesepilesindividually.Then,withoutlookingatthem,
takeanumberofcardsfromthesepilesaccordingtothefollowingchart:

Afterpullingoutthenecessaryrolecards,shuffleandrandomlydistributeonetoeachplayer.
Lookatyourownrolecard,butdonotrevealittoanyoneelse.Then,withoutlookingatthem,
settheremainingrolecardsaside.Theyarenotused.

Your First Game


Foryourfirstgame,werecommendplayingwith7orfewerplayersandremovingtheadvanced
Rolecards.TheadvancedRolecardshavetwotitlesonthecard.

Assign Characters
ShuffletheCharactercardstogether.Then,dealeachplayertwoCharactercards,facedown.
OfthetwoavailableCharactercards,eachplayerchoosesonetokeepandonetodiscard.
PlayersmaylookattheirownRolecardbeforechoosingwhichcharactertouse,butdonot
revealeithertheRolecardorCharactercard.

OnceeachplayerhaschosenaCharactercard,allplayerssimultaneouslyrevealtheirchosen
Charactercard.SetasidealloftheunselectedandremainingCharactercards.Theseareno
longerused.

Set Up Decks
ShuffletheMainDeckcardstogetherandplacetheminapilewhereeveryonecanreach.Set
asideanareanexttotheMainDecktoserveasthediscardpile.ShuffletheIncidentcards
togetherandplacetheminapilenexttotheMainDeckcards.

Designated Dealer
Somegroupsmayfinditeasierforasingleplayertoactasthedealer,distributingcardsfor
playerswhentheyneedtodrawandcollectingcardsthatgotothediscardpile.Thisplayerflips
cardsasnecessary,drawsnewIncidentcards,collectsanycardsforthatIncident,and
announcestoplayerswhentheIncidentisresolved.Thisispurelyamatterofconvenienceand
hasnoeffectongameplay.Ifaplayerisdefeatedearly,thatplayermayfinditconvenientto
taketheroleofthedealer.
Starting Life and Hand
AftereachplayerhasaCharactercard,theplayerwiththeHeroinerolerevealstheirrole.This
istheonlyrolecardtoberevealedatthestartofthegame.

Eachplayerthensetstheirstartinglife.Allplayersstartatfourlife,excepttheHeroine,who
startsatfive.Then,startingwiththeHeroine,eachplayerdrawscardsfromtheMainDeck
equaltotheirmaxhandsize.Allplayershaveastartinghandsizeandmaxhandsizeof4
cards,excepttheHeroine,whogetsamaxhandsizeof5.TheHeroinethentakesthefirstturn.

Turn Order
Turnshavethefollowingsteps:

1. StartofTurn
2. IncidentStep
3. DrawStep
4. MainStep
5. DiscardStep

Start of Turn
Atthestartofaplayer'sturn,anyeffectsforthatplayerthatlastuntilyournextturnend.Limits
onhowmanyDanmakucardsandSpellCardsaplayercanplayalsoresetatthestartoftheir
turn.

Incident Step
Atthebeginningoftheincidentstep,checkthecurrentIncident.Ifthereisnoincidentinplay,
thecurrentplayerputsthetopcardoftheIncidentdeckintoplay.Thisincidenttakeseffect
immediatelyandlastsuntilresolved.

IfanIncidentcardisalreadyinplay,performanyactionsthattakeplaceduringtheIncident
step.EvenifthecurrentIncidentresolvesduringthisIncidentstep,donotdrawanewIncident
untilthenextplayersIncidentstep.SeeIncidentCardsformoreinformationonIncidentcards.

Draw Step
Theplayerdrawsfortheturn.Bydefault,playersdrawtwocardsperturn.

Main Step
Themainstepiswhenmostcardsareplayed.Duringthemainstep,playerscanplay
Actioncardsorputout
Itemcards.Cardtypescanbeidentifiedbythesymbolsattachedto
thesideoftherulestextbox.SeeCardSymbolsformoreinformationoncardtypes.

Thereisnolimittothenumberofcardsaplayercanplayontheirturn,withtwoexceptions:

SpellCard.TherearenoeffectsthatincreasethenumberofSpellCardsaplayercanactivate
inoneround.

ThelimitsonDanmakuandSpellCardsareindependent.YoucanactivateaSpellCardina
turnyouplayaDanmakucardandviceversa.Youcanalsousea Bomb ssecondaryeffectto
cancelaDanmakuorSpellCard,evenafteractivatingyourSpellCard.Theselimitslastuntilthe
startofyournextturn.

Discard Step
Duringeachplayersdiscardstep,
allplayers
discarddowntotheirmaxhandsize.Thisisthe
onlytimeplayersmustdiscardduetomaxhandsize.Ifaplayerdrawsabovetheirmaxhand
size,theydonotneedtodiscarddowntotheirmaxhandsizeuntilthenextdiscardstep.

Afterthediscardstep,playmovestothenextactiveplayerontheleft(goingclockwise).That
playertakesthenextturn.

Winning the Game


Life
Playersstartwith4life,exceptfortheHeroine,whostartswith5.Therearethreemainways
playersloselife.Playersloselifewhentheyare attacked byotherplayers(seeAttacking
below).Additionally,somecardsandabilitiescauseaplayertoloselifedirectly.Finally,some
cardsandabilitiesallowaplayertopaylifetoactivateaneffect.Youcanpaylifeevenifitis
yourlastlife,butyoucannotpaylifeifyouareat0life.Aplayerslifecannotgobelow0.

Whenaplayerloseslifeforanyreason,theydrawonecardforeachlifelost.

Attacking
Manycardsandabilitiessuchas Shoot allowyoutoattackanotherplayer.Whenaplayer
attacks,thedefendingplayermayplaycardssuchas Graze toavoidtheattack.Iftheplayer
avoidstheattack,theylosenolifeotherwisetheyloselifeequaltothedamageoftheattack.
Attacksdeal1damageunlessotherwisespecified.Playerscannotattackthemselvesforany
reason.

Cardsthatcauseaplayertoloselifedirectlydonotcountasattacksandthedamagecannotbe
avoided.Thusthedamagecannotbepreventedbyplayinga Grazecard.
Distance and Range
Severalcards,like
Shoot,onlyaffectaplayerthatsinrange.Aplayerisconsideredinrange
ofyouifyour
Range
isequaltoorgreaterthantheshortest Distance fromyoutothatplayer.

EachplayerstartswithaRangeof1.CertaincardscanaddorsubtractfromRange.For
instance,aplayerwitha
Power cardhas+1Range,givingthematotalRangeof2.These
effectsstack,soaplayerwithtwoPowercardshasarangeof3.Someeffectscanreduce
Range,butRangecanneverbelessthan1.

Distanceismeasuredfromoneplayertoanothertargetplayer.Distancedependsontheorder
players|aresitting.Thedistancetoanotherplayeristhefewestnumberofhopstoreachthe
targetplayer,plusanyDistancemodifiersthetargetplayerhas.Theplayerssittingimmediately
toyourleftorrightstartatadistanceof1.Onlyactiveplayersarecounted,soasplayersare
defeated,thedistancebetweentheremainingplayersgetssmaller.

DistancemodifierscancomefromcardslikeFocus.OnlycounttheDistancemodifiersofthe
playeryouarecountingto,andnotmodifiersonyourselforanyotherplayers.Someeffectscan
reducetwoplayersdistance,butthiscannevergobelow1.

ThefigureontheoppositepageshowsanexampleofcalculatingdistancefromReimutoother
playersatthetable.ThenumbernexttoeachplayeristheRangerequiredtoattackthatplayer.

Defeat
AplayerisdefeatedwhentheircurrentLifereaches0.Playersarenotimmediatelydefeated
whentheyareat0life.PlayersareonlydefeatedaftertheoriginalActioncardisresolvedand
allplayershavebeengiventheopportunitytoplayReactioncards.Inthisway,itispossiblefor
morethanoneplayertobereducedto0atthesametimeduetoReactioncards.Allsuch
playersaredefeatedatthesametime.

SomeReactioncardssuchas 1Upcansaveaplayerfromdefeatandreturntheirlifetoabove
0.Aplayerwholoseslifeandissavedinthiswaystilldrawsacardforlosinglife.Ifaplayeris
notsavedandar,theybecomedefeatedandcannolongerbesavedorgainlife.
Onceaplayerisdefeated,thatplayerdiscardsallcardsinhandandItemsinplay.Theythen
revealtheirRolecard.Ifthatplayersdefeatsatisfiesanotherplayersgoal,thatplayermay
immediatelyrevealtheirroleanddeclarethattheyhavewonthegame.Otherwise,thegame
continueswiththecurrentplayersturn,orthenextplayersturnifthecurrentplayerwas
defeated.

Defeatedplayersarenotconsideredactiveplayersandarenotcountedwhencounting
thedistancefromoneplayertoanother.

Declaring Victory
EachplayerhasaRolecard.Theparticularvictoryconditionsforeachplayerarewrittenastheir
Goal onthatplayersRolecard.Thisinvolvesdefeatingacertainnumberofotherplayerswith
particularroles.Youdonotneedtobetheonetodealthelastdamagetoaplayerforyourgoal
tobecompleted.Allthatmattersisthatthespecifiedplayerorplayersaredefeated.

Onceaplayers Goal
hasbeencompleted,iftheyarestillalive,theyrevealtheirrolecardand
declarevictory.Thegameisnowover,andanyplayerswhohavecompletedtheirgoalhave
wonthegame.Defeatedplayerscannotdeclarevictory,eveniftheirgoaliscompleted,butthey
canstillwinthegameiftheirgoaliscompletedbyateammate.Inthisway,.

Itispossibleformorethanoneplayertowinthegameatthesametime.Thisismostobvious
whenthosecharactershavethesamerole,butnotallroleshaveconflictinggoals.Forinstance,
PartnersandtheHeroinehavethesamegoal.Ifonewins,theothersdoaswell.Likewise,itis
possiblefornobodytowinthegame.Ifallplayersaredefeatedatthesametime,thenthegame
endsinadraw.

Main Deck Cards


TheMainDeckisthemainplaydeckusedinDanmaku!!.TheMainDeckcontainsthecardsthat
makeupaplayershandandthatareplayedtoperformactionsinthegame.

Shuffling the Main Deck


WhenaplayerneedstodrawcardsandtherearenotenoughcardsleftintheMainDeck,draw
asmanycardsaspossible,thenmakeanewMainDeckbythoroughlyshufflingthediscardpile
andplacingitfacedowninapile.ContinuedrawinganyremainingcardsfromthenewMain
Deck.

ThereisnolimittothenumberoftimestheMainDeckcanbeshuffledinasinglegame.Donot
shufflethediscardpileintotheMainDeckuntiltheMainDeckiscompletelyempty.

Card Types and Subtypes


Everymaindeckcardhasatleastoneofthefollowingsymbols.Thisindicatesthecards
types

Action cards
Actioncardsmakeupthebulkofthemaindeck.Theymustbeplayedonyourturn,whenno
othercardiswaitingtoberesolved.

Reaction cards
ReactioncardsandSpellCardsspecifiedasReactionscanbeplayedduringanyplayersturn,
butonlywhencertainconditionsaremet.TheconditionsforaReactioncardorSpellCardare
listedatthetopoftheruletextintheformat,Playthiscardwhen___,orActivatethisability
when___.

Playersmayplayanynumberofreactioncardsinresponsetoasingleaction.Anynumberof
playersmayrespondtoasingleevent.SomeReactioncardsandSpellCardsmaycreate
additionaleffectsthatthencanberespondedto.Ifthereisdisagreementabouttheorderof
events,resolvetheseeventsinclockwisefashion.

Item cards
Itemcardsprovideacontinuousbenefit.WhenyouplayanItemcardyouplaceitonthe
tablefaceup,anditremainsuntilaneffectcausesittobediscarded.ThatItemcardisnowin
play,andthepersonwhoplayeditcontrolsit.SomecardsandabilitieslikeBorrow allowyouto
takecontrolofanotherplayersItemcard.WhoevercontrolsanItemcardgetstheeffectsofthat
Itemcard.IfaplayerdiscardsanItemcardfromplay,theylosetheeffectsofthatItemcard
immediately.YoucanonlyputItemcardsinplayonyourturn,whennoothercardiswaitingto
beresolved.
Invocation cards
InvocationcardsallowaplayertoinvokeacharactersSpellCardability.SomecharactersSpell
Cardsareactions,whileothersarereactions.YoumayonlyusethoseSpellCardsatthe
appropriatetime.

PlayersmayonlyactivateoneSpellCardperround.OnceyouactivateaSpellCard,youmay
notactivateanotheroneuntilthestartofyournextturn.ThisistrueeveniftheSpellCardwas
canceled.However,youmaystillusetheBombCancelhalfofaBombcardtocancela
DanmakuorSpellCard.

Danmaku cards
Danmakucardsallowaplayertoattackanotherplayer.Thesearedenotedbythe Danmaku
symbol.

Bydefault,playerscanonlyplayone Danmakucardperround.Somecards,suchasPower,
increasethelimitfor Danmakucardsaplayercanplayeachround.Onceinplay,the
increasetakeseffectimmediately.Ifthecardislost,thelimitisreducedimmediately.Any
Danmakucardplayedcountsagainstthelimit,evenifthatDanmakucardwasavoidedor
canceled.

YoucannotplayaDanmakucardifthenumberofDanmakucardsplayedthisroundisequalto
orgreaterthanyourcurrentDanmakucardlimit.

SomeDanmakucardssuchas Melee ignoretheDanmakucardlimit.Thesecanbeplayedeven


ifyouareatyourDanmakulimit,andtheyarenotcountedwhendetermininghowmany
Danmakucardshavebeenplayedsofarthisround.

Dodge cards
Dodgecards,suchas
Graze,allowaplayeravoidanattack.AlldodgecardsarealsoReaction
cards.ThesearedenotedbytheDodgesymbol.

Healing cards
Healingcards,suchas

,allowaplayertoregainlifeorsaveaplayerfromdefeat.Theseare
denotedbytheHealingsymbol.

Invocation cards
Invocationcards,suchas
SpiritualAttack

Powerup cards

Whenaplayerishitbyan attack
,theymustchoose oneofallofthePowerupcardsthey
currentlycontrolanddiscardthatcard.Iftheplayeravoidstheattack,theydonotneedto
discardaPowerupcard.AdditionallyplayersdonotdiscardPowerupcardswhenacardcauses
themtoloselifedirectlyorwhentheypaylifetoactivateaneffect.Thereisnolimittothe
numberofPowerupcardsaplayercanhaveinplay.

Defense cards
Defensecards,such
SupernaturalBorder
,areakindofItemcard.Thesearedenotedbythe
Defensesymbol.

PlayersmayonlyhaveoneDefensecardinplayatatime.IfaplayereverhastwoDefense
cardsinplay,theymustimmediatelychooseanddiscardone.

Artifact cards
Artifactcards,suchas
MiniHakkero
,areamongthemostpowerfulItemcards.Theseare
denotedbytheArtifactsymbol.

PlayersmayonlyhaveoneArtifactcardinplayatatime.IfaplayereverhastwoArtifactcards
inplay,theymustimmediatelychooseanddiscardone.

Character Cards
AtthebeginningofthegameeachplayerchoosesaCharactertoplayas.Everycharacterhas
auniqueAbilityaswellasaSpellCardtheycanactivateduringthegame.

Abilities
Abilitiesarepassivebenefitsthatyougetforplayingagivencharacter.Abilitiesarealwaysin
effectandallowyoutodothingsotherscantorotherwisebreaktherules.Remembertouse
yourcharactersabilityforthebestchanceatvictory!

Spell Cards
SpellCardsareuniqueonetimeeffectsthatagivencharacterhasaccessto.Inordertouse
yourSpellCard,youmustactivateitbyplayinganInvocationcardsuchasSpiritualAttackor
Bomb,orusingtheeffectofMiniHakkero.

SomeSpellCardsareActions,whileothersareReactions.IfaSpellCardisanAction,itcan
onlybeactivatedduringaplayersmainstep,whennoothercardisbeingresolved.Reaction
SpellCardsstatewhentheycanbeusedatthetopoftheSpellCardeffectbox.

WhenaSpellCardisactivated,alloftheeffectslistedareperformedinorder.Thisusually
includesauniqueeffect,suchasdrawingcards,followedbyanattack.Attackslikethisarepart
oftheSpellCard'seffectsanddonotrequireplayingadditionalcardstouse.

Role Cards
Therearefourbasicroles:Heroine,Partner,StageBoss,andExtraBoss.

Inadditiontothefourbasicroles,therearesevenadvancedroles,whichmightreplacethe
basicrolesatthebeginningofthegame.Eachofthespecialroleshasaslightlydifferentgoal,
thoughtheystillcountasthefourbasictypes:Heroine,Partner,StageBoss,orExtraBoss.
Withtheadvancedroles,youcanneverbequitesurewhosreallyonyourteam.

The Heroine and the Rival


TheHeroineistheonlyRolerevealedatthestartofthegame.Thegamestartsonthe
Heroinesturn.TheHeroinewinsifalloftheStageBossesandExtraBosseshavebeen
defeated.

Rival
InadditiontotheHeroine,inan8playergame,oneplayerisdealttheRivalcard.TheRivalis
likeasecondHeroine.TheRivalreallywantstobecometheHeroine,andtheonlywaytodo
thatistotakedownthecurrentHeroineandtakeherplace!

WhenplayingwiththeRival,thegamedoesnotendwhentheHeroineisdefeated.Instead,if
theHeroineisdefeated,theRivalrevealstheirrolecard,takestheHeroinerolecard,andgains
1life.ThatplayerthenbecomestheHeroine,andthegamecontinuesasnormal.Anyplayers
thatmustdefeattheHeroineaspartoftheirgoalmustdefeatthenewHeroinebeforetheycan
winthegame.

Stage Bosses
StageBosseswanttodefeattheHeroine.

InadditiontothebasicStageBoss,therearethreespecialStageBossroles,eachwiththeir
ownparticularwincondition:

TheChallengerisaStageBossthatwantstodefeattheExtraBossbeforedefeatingthe
Heroine.

TheFinalBossisaStageBossthatwantstodefeatthePartnersbeforedefeatingthe
Heroine.

TheAntiHeroineisaStageBossthatwantstodefeatatleastonefellowStageBoss
beforedefeatingtheHeroine.

Partners
LiketheStageBosses,thereisarespecialPartnerroleswithdifferentwinconditions:

TheOneTruePartnercantstandanyotherpartnersandwantstodefeatthembefore
defeatingtheStageBossesandExtraBosses.

TheEXMidbossisntreallytheHeroinespartneratall!ShewantstodefeattheStage
Bosses,thendefeattheHeroine,helpingtheExtraBosswin!

Extra Bosses
ExtraBosseshaveitrough,astheywanttodefeatalltheStageBossesontopofdefeatingthe
Heroine.Fortunately,ExtraBosseshavetheuniqueabilitytorevealthemselvesduringthe
gameinordertogainspecialadvantage.TherearetwokindsofExtraBosses:

TheEXBosscandrawanextracardeachturnwhilerevealed.

secretwhilestillsuggestingtootherswhichteamyoureonisanimportantandfunpart
ofthegame.Forinstance,aStageBossmightactsurprisedwhentheHeroineattacks
them.APartnermaycomplainthattheydidntdoanythingtoaBosswhensheis
attacked.AnEXBossmighthelptheHeroinethroughoutthegame,hopingtheycan
convincehertotakedownherPartner.Actingsneakyisencouragedinthegame.

Incident cards
Incidentcardsaredrawnthroughoutthegameandprovideaconstantchangetothegames
rulesuntiltheyareresolved.DuringaplayersIncidentstep,beforetheydraw,ifthereisno
incidentcurrentlyinplay,putthetopcardoftheIncidentdeckintoplay.

Incidentstakeeffectimmediatelyandlastuntiltheyareresolved.Eachincidentisresolvedafter
aparticularconditionismet.ThisisspecifiedbytheResolution:textonthecard.Once
resolved,theIncidentisplacedintheIncidentdiscardpilenexttotheIncidentdeck.Donotput
anewIncidentintoplayyetthishappensduringthenextplayersIncidentstep.

Collecting
Manyincidentsresolveafter collectingacertainnumberofparticularcards.Thekindofcard
thatanincidentcollectsisspecifiedontheincidentcardforinstance,Collect6Springcards.
Anytimeacardtheincidentcollectsisplacedinthediscardpileforanyreason,insteadputitin
thecollectionpilenexttotheIncidentDeck.Thatcardisnowcollected.Iftheincidenthas
alreadycollectedenoughofagivencard,itwillnotcollectmoreofthatcard.

Whenthespecifiednumberofcardsofthecorrecttypehasbeencollected,theincidentis
resolved.Onceanincidentresolves,shufflethecardsitcollectedtogetherandplacetheminthe
discardpile.

Seasons
Manyincidentscollectcardsofaparticularseason.Theseasonforacardcanbeidentifiedby
thesymbolinthetopleftcircle.Therearefourseasons:

Game Terminology
Flipping
Somecardstellyoutoflipthetopcardofthedeck.Thismeanstorevealthetopcardofthe
MainDeck,thenputitinthediscardpile.Thesecardsusuallyhaveaneffectbasedonthe
Seasonoftherevealedcard.

Discarding
Somecardsorabilitiesmayforceyouto discardcards.Thismayincludecardsfromyourhand
orItemcardsinplay.Ifthismustbedoneatrandom,shufflethecardstogetherandhave
anotherplayerrandomlyselectacardtodiscard.Placetheselectedcardsintothediscardpile.
Playersmustdiscarddowntotheirmaxhandsizeattheendofeachplayersturn.Whena
playerdiscardsduetomaxhandsize,theymaychoosewhichcardstokeepandwhichto
discard.

Canceling
Somecardssuchas Bomb allowyoutocancelanothercardbeingplayedorSpellCardbeing
activated.Whenacardiscanceled,itdoesnotperformanyofthatcardseffectsandistreated
asifitwereneverplayedinthefirstplace.Forinstance,a
SealAwaythatiscanceleddoesnot
forceaplayertotrashanItemcard,anddoesnotperformanattack.IfplayersplayedReaction
cardssuchas Graze inresponsetoacardthatisthencanceled,theytakethosecardsback.

CanceledcardsstillcountagainstthatplayersDanmakuorSpellCardlimitperround.

Skipping Turns
Cirnosspellcard,PerfectFreeze,andHongMeilingsabilitycauseplayerstoskipturns.Ifa
playerskipstheirturn,theyskipallphasesoftheirturnexceptfortheStartofTurnphase.This
meansthateffectsthatlastuntilthestartoftheirnextturnstillend.However,thatplayerwillnot
triggerorcheckIncidentsontheirIncidentstep,willnotdrawcardsontheirDrawstep,anddo
notdiscardontheirDiscardstep.

Playerscannotskiptwoturnsinarow.Ifaplayerwouldskipasecondturninarow,they
insteadtakethatturnasnormal.Thisturnskipisnotpostponedtothefollowingturn,andis
ignoredcompletely.

Playing on Others Behalf


CardssuchasGrazeandYagokoroEirinsabilityallowyoutoplaycertaincardsonothers
behalf.Thismeansthatyoumayplaythecardasifyouwerethatperson.Forinstance,ifthat
playerisattacked,youmayplayacardthatcanonlybeplayedwhenyouareattacked.The
cardseffectshappenasifthatplayerhadplayedit.AnItemcardplayedonanotherplayers
behalfiscontrolledbythatplayer.
