Objective 2nd Grade students will work individually on class
activity where they will cut out the words describing Bloom's different behaviors such as hitting, smiling, Taxonomy handshakes, temper tantrums, etc. and move these activities to the correct column by gluing them in the Webb's Depth of good or bad behavior column on the handout correctly Knowledge nine out of ten times. Kayla will be permitted breaks to allow her to refocus if she becomes upset. Kayla will be given permission to leave the classroom by grabbing the pass near the door if at any time she feels that she is going to become upset or needs to leave the classroom. This will demonstrate what the students believe are good and bad choies prior to beginning the lesson. Modeling of the Concept 2nd grade students, as a classroom, with the teacher, will complete a webquest search on positive and negative behaviors. They will be choosing photos of positive and negative behaviors, one per student, to place in the classroom weebly unit website. They will later label the picture that they chose, define the activity, and state whether this was a good or bad choice. Guiding the Practice 2nd grade students will be choosing the picture that they would like to place on their classroom unit weebly site. They will be discussing with the other 2nd grade students the activity they chose, labeling the activity, and stating why they believe this was a positive or negative choice. 2nd grade students will be permitted to ask any questions about what positive and negative behaviors are. Students will engage in conversation about how negative behaviors may lead them to not abide by the rules and how this can be harmful within school or work environment. Pictures will be placed on the weebly site. Providing the Independent Practice 2nd grade students will complete handout. They will cut out the different behaviors on the bottom of the handout. These range from positive to negative behaviors and there are 10 behaviors at the bottom. Students will be provided with glue sticks and with crayons. They will then place and glue the positive behaviors where the rules are being followed under the good choice column and the negative behaviors where the rules are not being followed under the bad choice column. They will then color their handout upon completion. Transition If your birthday is on and even day of the month stand up and stretch, on an odd day stand up and stretch.
