Subject: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO DEPED MEMORANDUM NO. 128, s. 2014


(2015 National Schools Press Conference)

Relative to DepED Memorandum No. 128, s. 2014 entitled 2015 National Schools Press Conference,
the following are the additional information to said Memorandum:

1. The contest venue for elementary is at STI College, Taguig City while the secondary is at Treston
International College, Taguig City. The Regional Directors or their assistants will be billeted at Ascott
Hotel Fort, Taguig City.

2. The set of guidelines for Expanded Collaborative Desktop Publishing with Online Application is
attached.

3. The contestants of Radio Scriptwriting and Broadcasting will be allowed to bring in a smartphone or
tablet (one tablet or smartphone per team without a SIM). This device will be used for recording
during the press conference.

4. The topics and schedules of the Concurrent Sessions are as follows:

The delegation head is required to submit the list of participants per topic using the
format found below. The lists should be submitted on April 6, 2015 during the meeting with the
delegation heads.

5. The City Government of Taguig will sponsor a free tour to Mind Museum on April 9, 2015. Those
who are interested to join this tour are required to fill-out the attached waiver and submit it to your
coach/delegation head. The museum can only accommodate up to 300 students plus 12 chaperons
each time slot. There are only 5 time slots so not all NSPC delegates can be accommodated.
Please see attached rules and regulations of the free tour and its schedule. Priority shall be given
to campus journalists (CJ) and publication advisers who belong to regions that are far from NCR
and those CJs who are financially incapable to go to the Mind Museum as long as they were
allowed by their parents.

6. All two hundred sixty eight (268) official delegates are expected to attend all activities of the NSPC.
Any unsanctioned personal trip which will be made by any school paper adviser, school head and
other personnel who are part of the official delegation especially during contest proper is strictly
prohibited. All planned trips should be scheduled only on April 9.

7. The head of delegation of each region should be aware of any and all extra field trips which will be
organized by each division and/or school under their care. He/she should inform and coordinate
with the principal of the school where they are billeted of their regions field trip plans. Students
should have separate waiver for the field trip on April 9. No waiver. No field trip.

8. All other provisions of the said Memorandum still remain.
