Grace Notes Volume 47, Issue 4

April 2017 Unbinding Your Heart

The first week of April is the final week of the Unbinding your Heart
small groups. Last fall, the session discerned a need for us to place
Directory an emphasis on evangelism in 2017, and I am grateful for the nearly
Christian 105 people who participated in a group and the dozens of others
Education who supported the effort through prayer. I pray we might continue
to be mutually encouraged by the testimonies of what God has been
(pp. 5-7)
doing in our lives during this season.
Calendar
(pp. 8-9)
WNS Know that an Unbinding your Heart assessment will be sent from the
Schedule church office once the group meetings have concluded. Please take
the time to fill this out and provide feedback! Hearing from you will
(p. 6)
help the leadership discern how God is calling us forward from this experience. And, if you are inter-
ested in hearing the results of the assessment, please join in on 5th Sunday Luncheon (April 30)
where that will be shared. You can find details about the 5th Sunday luncheon on page 13.
Important
In the meantime, as we head toward Holy Week and Easter, we recall those first witnesses of Jesus
Dates resurrection. I am mindful of Mary in particular as her very first act in light of the Easter promise
PNO was to share it. Once she recognizes the resurrected Jesus alive and speaking we read that she runs to
tell others, I have seen the Lord (Jn 20:18). It is her testimony that forever changes the hope she

telling the stories of Jesus in our midst remains fundamental to our faith. May the Holy Spirit work

One of the great Easter Sunday traditions at Grace Covenant is
the singing of G. F. Handels Hallelujah Chorus (Messiah) at the end of
the worship service. For years many from the congregation have
come forward to join the Chancel Choir in the singing of this uplift-
ing choral benediction. We will do so again this year! The church
owns several extra scores of the Hallelujah Chorus which we will hand
-out to those wanting to sing; however, if you own a copy, you are
welcome to bring it with you on Easter Sunday.
