Ladies and gentlemen,

since 2014, the first premium compact sedan has been another symbol of our successful Chinese-German
partnership. In the plant in Foshan, we have locally built 200,000 units of the latest Audi A3* generation. This is
the beautiful product improvement with an even more attractive design, new TFSI engines and a series of
improvements for the user interface.

We just have signed a new ten-year-business-plan with our valued partner FAW. I am very happy about this
strong sign of our reliable partnership.

Ladies and gentlemen,

China is an ideal fit to our corporate strategy. First: digitization. 630 million people in China are online. Eight
out of ten use a mobile access. This paves the way for a connected car! Second: sustainability. The new energy
vehicle policy of China is extremely successful. More than one million electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids are
the proof. And third: urbanization. 14 of 36 megacities with more than ten million inhabitants are Chinese. We
at Audi embrace this opportunity to tailor new digital solutions and innovative, emission-free drivetrains for the
smart city of the future.

In the next decade, we will turn electric mobility into a “must have”. In a couple of minutes, we are going to
present to you the concept of a new fully-electric car.
China is the most important market worldwide for electric cars. This is why you will see our latest world
premiere right here in Shanghai.

Thank you.

Ladies and gentlemen,

the Audi e-tron Sportback concept has the power of 320 kW – when boosting even 370 kW! With one electric
engine in the front and two in the back, we realize a typical Audi quattro all-wheel drive. I am really looking
forward to 2019, when we will launch the series version of this concept car: the Audi e-tron Sportback.

Already by the end of next year, its brother will go into production: the Audi e-tron. It will be a battery-electric
SUV, and the first electric car in our core competition, with everyday usability. It has a range of more than 500
km, a unique driving experience and great design.

In 2020, we will offer a third premium electric car in the compact segment. And starting in 2021, we will
electrify one Audi model in each of our existing core series.
Here in China, we will offer locally produced e-tron models in cooperation with our Joint Venture Partner
FAW / Volkswagen – plug-in hybrids as well as fully-electric cars.

Thank you.
