Chemistry tutor:

Tutor of 131 Chemistry students. I helped students with assignments, questions, learning
tips and techniques, and get prepared for exams.
CIT ( Counselor in training):

Summer camp counselor assistant. Responsible for the care of the children, maintaining a
safe environment during field trips and at the swimming pool. Instructed games and
activities that illustrated concepts in nature (animal anatomy, astrology, geology,
dinosaurs, etc.)

Archeologist assistant and excavator:
Aranzadi, Society of Science, Acheological Excavation, San Sebastian, Spain 3 21 June 2013

Established trial excavations, excavate, differentiate ground strata, kept record of the
excavation, restored graves and identified and treat bones. Collaborated with
professionals, such as archeologists, biologists and medical examiners, who worked on
the project and attended their conferences.

Volunteer History

Harrisonburg Free Clinic, Harrisonburg, VA: August 2016- Present


I served as a Medical Spanish Interpreter as well as a Medical Front Desk Receptionist
and assisted the nurse practitioner with office administration tasks and data management.
As a receptionist, I greet and check-in patients, collect personal, medical, and insurance
information, verify and remind of patients appointments, distribute medication, and keep
medical supply inventories. I gained knowledge and awareness of the health care delivery
systems in the United States and the accessibility and resources provided to low income
citizens.
Children's Hospital Dr. Robert Reid Cabral, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: 4th

As part of my practicum for my area of emphasis, I participated in a service and global


studies trip to the Dominican Republic. I was involved in the planning of activities at the
childrens hospital as well as guiding the rest of the students that participated in the trip.
In addition, and assessment and comparison of the health care delivery systems and
resources in the Dominican Republic and the United State was made.
School Aldeas Infantiles SOS, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: 5th March 2016 12th

As part of my area of emphasis I participated in a service and global studies trip to the
Dominican Republic. I was involved in the planning of educational and fun activities at
the school. I lead such activities in two different sessions of kindergarten and first grade.
I engaged in sharing and receiving cultural perspective, affection, and experience from
the kids during the academic hours and recess. I learned about the history, social,
economic, and political issues of the Dominican Republic while experiencing the culture.
Students Helping Honduras, Fundraising event, Kings Dominion, Doswell, VA: October 2015
I volunteered at Kings Dominion to fundraise for the Students Helping Honduras club.
The club provides money to pay for materials to build schools and provide supplies and
food for citizens of Honduras. As a volunteer I worked at a taco fast-food restaurant. I
had several different roles from cleaning dishes and tables to cooking and attending
costumers.
Second Home, Harrisonburg, VA: October 2015December 2015
Second Home is a before and after school to provide children of low income families a
safe place to stay while their parents are at work. Helped serving and preparing breakfast
and snacks. Provided materials and guide morning activities according to the childrens
desires, and helped with homework. I was assigned to one student during reading time.
Harrisonburg-Rockingham SPCA, VA: January 2015May 2015
Responsible for the training and development of desirable behaviors in the shelter
animals to increase adoptability rate
Food drive event, Banco de alimentos de Guipuzkoa, San Sebastian, Spain: 1923 May 2014
Organized food collection for families in need. Contacted and informed the soup kitchen
regarding the need for more food supplies. Responsible for announcing when the
collection would take place and the types of food most needed.
World Fair trade day, Adsis NGO, San Sebastian, Spain: 10 May 2014
Worked with an NGO performing activities that promoted and taught about fair trade to
adults and kids. Responsible for teaching the games to children and explaining the
concept of fair trade to them. Organized the decorations and tables for the event in the
city.
House restoration, Adsis NGO, San Sebastian, Spain: 2225 April 2014
Worked 12 hours a day to restore houses the goverment had provided for people who
were homeless and/or addicted to drugs. Responsible for painting the rooms. Gained a
broadened perspective on the different social classes and social exclusion.
