Education 316 Lesson Plan
1.Objectives
After the lesson is completed students will be
able to restate the differences between
Sparta and Athens. Students will be able to
compare and contrast the differences
between Sparta and Athens men, women,
and government. Students will be able to
discuss the main points of the Peloponnesian
War.
In my Education 316 lesson I failed to number
my objectives. I used words such as restate
when describing my objectives that indicate
students are recalling information and not
using critical thinking skills.

In my Education 316 lesson my national and
WV standards are very broad and could align
better with my objectives.
3. Time Management
60 Minute Lesson
5 mins- Students get settled and teacher intro
10 mins- Diagnostic activity
10 mins- Powerpoint Demonstration
30 mins- Group Activity
5 mins- Regroup and closure
In my Education 316 my time management
skills were lacking. I had too many transitions
throughout my lesson which caused a lot of
wasted time throughout my lesson.
4.Extended Activities
If student finishes early they will complete a
venn diagram
Education 426 Lesson Plan
1.Objectives
(1) Students will learn how the federal
government defines poverty. (2) Students will
compare the federally defined poverty level
with the cost of basic necessities in their own
community.
In my Education 426 lesson my objectives are
numbered and clearly stated. These
objectives align very well with both the
national and West Virginia standards.

3.Time Management

explanation of poverty

In my Education 405 lesson my time
management skills included minimal
transitions which allowed students to use
almost the full 60 minutes to work on the
lesson.
4.Extended Activities
