PTW CO-ORDINATOR

Main Responsibilities:
*Provision of supervision, support and direction in all daily (PTW) activities to assure work is
being carried in accordance with HES guidelines, permit to work and all other relevant Company
procedures.
*Assist with coordination and forward planning to ensure that all permit requirements are pre-
planned ready for start of next day's work.
*Tracks work permits through the entire life cycles from initiation to completion/close-out.
Ensure record-keeping requirements are met. Maintains daily permit log, listing permit types
issues, location and scope of work.

1. Job purpose & Scope:

The main tasks of this position are to co-ordinate and manage the relevant work permits and
certificates necessary to operate in controlled areas, ensuring that the permits have all the
required documentation, certification and approval signatures and that the necessary risk
assessments are being performed.

1. Principal Accountabilities:

Implementation and monitoring of the permit to work system to assure the work is carried
out safely and in accordance with relevant guidelines, including PSSP (Project Specific
Safety Plan), S1MOPS Plan & other SOPs

Ensure and control that Project Construction activities are planned (through PTW
issuance) and conducted in compliance with the applicable HSE rules and the safe
operational working practices

Lead role in co-ordination of the daily PTW planning meeting

Ensures all required documentation accompanies requests for permits & applications for
permits with necessary supporting documentation are properly completed as required by
SIMOPS Plan.

Maintain statistical data on PTW system & identify opportunities to improve efficiency &
interfaces of PTW system.

Coordinates forward planning with Project Construction Team so all permit requirements
are ready for the start of the days work.
Tracks work permits throughout the entire process from initiation to completion and
close-out. Ensures record keeping requirements are met (electronic/ hard copies)

Elaborate PTW KPIs, analyse trends and suggest improvement actions

Issue the PTW daily report

Perform preliminary site visit on work locations as required and visit working sites to
follow up progress of activities and to track any change in the environment not foreseen
during the work permit preparation

Chair the work permit coordination meeting. Ensure smooth permit opening session
every morning taking into account operational priorities

Develop and coach construction personnel using experience of PTW systems

Key focal point ensuring permits are prepared and issued in system in accordance with
the operational priorities.

Liaise with Performing Authorities to ensure correct work Permit is generated and
identify the need for any supporting documents.

Identification of potential areas of conflict from simultaneous and ad jacent work scopes

Monitors/audits the PTW compliance especially the Lock Out/Tag Out system in relation
to issued work permits

Identification, within the bounds of the system, of isolations or inhibits required prior to
permit issue

Assistance where necessary to ensure appropriate risk assessments are carried out prior to
permit issue

Comply with the HSE instructions, rules and procedures in force in the project.

Satisfy the HSE assigned objectives during the execution of construction activities.

Ensure that Company HSE Policy and contractual HSE requirements arc enforced within
the framework of all site construction activities.

Take an active part in the HSE reporting system
