Summary & Overview

TORAH
O LEVITICUS 12:1 | PURIFICATION OF WOMEN AFTER CHILDBIRTH

O LEVITICUS 13:1 | LEPROSY, VARIETIES AND SYMPTOMS

Just to recap, the Book of Leviticus is connected to the Garden of Eden, and
what is mentioned here has to do with the Restoration Process that have to take
place to restore YHVHs Creation including humanity. Man fell into a lower state
of existence that is better known as the physical realm, but YHVH wants to
restore us back to the Higher Spiritual Reality that existed at the time right after
the completion of His Creation. For the restoration process to take place, YHVH
needs to do a deep work within man so that He could reverse the effects of sin
and remove the curses that came upon His Creation.
This study in Tazria looks at the spiritual side of what brings infections and
moulds into our body. It deals with the laws of tumah (ritual impurity) and
tahara (ritual purity). The laws about purification, including post childbirth, and
leprosy are discussed in this Torah Portion. These regulations may be
understood in purely hygienic terms, or for their religious significance, or both.

Breaking Curses
This weeks Parashah is called Tazria that
means, she conceives. This week we look at the
reversal of the curse that came upon the woman,
that she will bear children in pain.
Gen 3:16 To the woman He said, "I will
greatly multiply your sorrow and your
childbirth, In pain, you will bring forth
children, Yet your desire will be for your
husband, And he will rule over you."
Greatly Multiply is the same two words raba-
raba that means, be or become great, be or become many, be or
become much, be or become numerous. This word is used in Gen 1:22 where
YHVH created the birds and the fish, blessing them with the word raba, but here
it is used in Gen 3:16 to curse the woman. What is going on?
Spiritual Insight: These two thoughts reveal the true nature of the Father,
even if we are the cause of bad consequences because of sin and
disobedience.

1
YHVH still placed a blessing and promise inside the consequences or in this
case, inside the curse. The sorrow she will go through will result in her
expanding and multiplying greatly. We know this is true when we read the
story of Israel going into the land of Egypt as a result of famine (sorrow). Then
they multiplied greatly because of the oppression of Pharaoh, greatly
multiplying their sorrow. We see the same principle in the Book of Revelation.
Rev 2:8-11 And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: The First
and the Last, who became dead and lived, says these things: (9) I know
your works and tribulation and poverty (but you are rich), and I know
the blasphemy of those saying themselves to be Jews, and are not, but
are the Synagogue of Satan. (10) Do not at all fear what you are about
to suffer. Behold, the Devil will cast some of you into prison, so that you
may be tried. And you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful to
death, and I will give you the crown of life. (11) He who has an ear, let
him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will
not be hurt by the second death.
Smyrna means myrrh or sweet smelling, and the smell is only produced
when you crush the myrrh. The sweet smell that is produced through this
Congregation was because of their persecution or sorrow that was greatly
multiplied. They were the only Assembly that received a commendation and
no reproof. This teaches us that we should count it all joy when you are
persecuted or when someone oppresses you because of the Name you carry.
You might be persecuted by your family and friends, or be persecuted by
people in the world. You might be persecuted by people in the Church of the
Feasts or even Jews, because of Messiah Yshua. When you go through
these persecutions coming from all directions, know one thing, you have
become like Smyrna, and all these oppressing forces will result in you giving
off a sweet smell unto your Father.

Multiplying Sorrows
The woman received a curse through YHVH greatly multiplying her sorrow. In
Hebrew it is the phrase; raba raba ` itstsabown .
Sorrow is the word itstsabown that means, pain, labour,
worrisomeness, to worry, hardship, sorrow, toil. This is the same word that is
used when the man was cursed when YHVH said; with sorrow you shall
eat This word is also used in Gen 5:29 in the genealogy from Adam to Noah
and his three sons. This verse reads as follows; And he called his name Noah,
saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil (itstsabown) of
our hands, because of the ground which YHVH has cursed.
Spiritual Insight: This makes Noah or Nuach part of the remedy for the
problem or the curse of sorrow, that came upon humanity. Noah is the name
Noach xn that mean rest. If you read this from left to right, it makes the word
]x chen, that means grace. This relates to the passage in Hebrews entering
Yshuas rest (nuach).
Heb 4:2-3 For we also received the good news, just as they did; but the
message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the
faith of those who comprehended it.

2
3Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as
God has said: So I swore on oath in my anger, They shall never enter My
rest. And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the
world. - Ps 95:11
We enter into His rest (nuach) by His grace through faith and the message of
good news (gospel). Hebrews 4 quoted Psa 95 and is a call back to YHVH
through obedience and worship. This good news message or rest and
salvation is associated with the Work of Yshua the Messiah, and through Him,
you are allowed to enter YHVHs rest (nuach) during the time of judgement.
This message of salvation is coloured in by the story of Noah and the Ark,
where he and his family entered into YHVHs rest (nuach) during the time of
judgement. The gospel message is about the good news of salvation and rest
but is also about the separation of those who hardened their hearts, who are
like Israel who tested YHVH for 40 years in the wilderness, they will not enter
His rest. (Read the whole Ps 95).
This means that we can cast all our sorrows, fear, hardship and pain upon Him
so that He can take away this curse of sorrow and we can experience and
enter into His rest through faith. Faith is the mechanism to activate this
remedy and does not happen automatically, and the final liberation from this
curse will be at the Second Coming of Messiah.
Active Faith: Faith is the word amunah hnma that means
faithfulness, that comes from the root word aman that means
truth. True faith is only based upon truth, and you exercise faith
when you are faithful or obedient in the truth you received. Truth is
found in the Word of YHVH, and the foundation of His word is
called the Torah. Torah comes from the root word yarah that
means water as well as to learn how to shoot. Sin is the word
chatah that means to miss the mark. The truth in the Torah is the remedy to
the problem called sin, and applying the truth from His Torah
(Commandments), will teach you how to shoot and hit the mark every time.
That means that when you walk in faith, you actually walk in between the safe
boundaries of His Commandments, which keep you from falling into the ditch
next to the road you are travelling. This faith is called active faith that leads to
wisdom and wisdom is the application of truth that helps you to hit the bulls
eye every time, as you apply it in your life.
Passive Faith: The other aspect of faith is to know the
truth; that is the passive side of faith that has to do with
revelation and insight that leads to understanding,
taking away confusion. There are numerous examples
of this kind of faith, and the most important one is the
knowledge of Who the Messiah is, and what His Work
is all about. Then you will find the truth regarding the
enemy, who he is and how he operates. The truth of His
Word will also reveal the symbolism within Scripture,
the patterns found in the Tabernacle and the Menorah, the meaning of the
Sacrificial System and the prophetic meaning of the Feasts and His Appointed
time cycles. All of this is just knowledge to help you to see the bigger picture
and get an understanding of the One you serve, of His Character and His plan
of salvation and how we play a part in all of this.

3
Knowledge cannot save you and knowing the name of the Saviour will not
allow you to enter, you need to know Him and receive His truth and be faithful
in that truth so that you can change and become like Him. That is why you
need to embrace both kinds of faith, the wisdom (active) and understanding
(passive) kind of faith that will allow you to enter into His rest.
We need both kinds of faith to reverse the effect of sorrow, the curse that
makes us to worry, to grow weary and to be confused. This curse is activated
through the consequences of sin and lies. The Tree they ate from exposed
then to the knowledge of good, the Word of YHVH, as well as the knowledge
of evil, the lies and confusion caused by the enemy. To overcome this enemy
and be released from this curse is through knowing and acting on the truth,
that is faith. Then you will be able to enter into YHVHs Rest through the One,
Who is like Noah, perfect in his generations, Yshua the Messiah.

Multiplying Conception
Most people translate this as the increase of pain at childbirth, but there is a
deeper spiritual level of understanding regarding this phrase; He will greatly
multiply her conception. In Hebrew, it is the phrase raba raba
`herown Conception is the word herown that means pregnancy.
This word is used in Scripture in Rth 4:13 where Boaz took Ruth and she
conceived (herown) and bore a son, and they called him Obed. Obed was the
grandfather of King David, who was the son of Jesse. Ruth means
friendship and neighbour, that comes from the root word ra-ah that
means, shepherd and pastor and to tend to the herd. Boaz means fleetness and
is one of the names of the two pillars at the entrance of the Temple. Obed
means serving and Jesse means I possess, that comes from the
root word yesh that means, existence and substance. David dvd means
Beloved.
Spiritual Insight: These names reveal the attributes of Messiah Yshua Who
was conceived and born of a woman, that gave Him existence in this world,
Who is the possessor of the substance that made Him the Beloved King. He is
the Shepherd Who tends and leads His flock to the entrance of His Fathers
House. He is the pillar that upholds the entrance or Doorway that allows his
flock into His Fathers presence so that they can possess eternal life.
Q What has this to do with greatly increasing her conception?
The curse that came upon Eve had to do with her bringing children into the world
with sorrow and pain. The conception process is part of the restoration process of
humanity, and there is pain associated with it.
Rom 8:17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ,
if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
Everyone who goes through this process will experience the pain of childbirth
as they bring new children into the Kingdom, becoming partakers in His Work
and suffering. We will suffer, just as Yshua suffered because we are His hands
and feet, representing Him and completing the work He started.

4
This is the true purpose of becoming part of the Body of Messiah; to become
Shepherds that seek out the lost and bring them into the Fathers Presence,
symbolised by a woman giving birth restored individuals. There will not be new
believers without pain.
Matt 5:11 "Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and
falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
1 Pet 5:10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace,
who called you to His eternal glory in Messiah, will Himself perfect,
confirm, strengthen and establish you.

Restoration of the Seed

Lev 12:1 YHVH said to Moses, 2 Say to the Israelites: A woman who becomes
pregnant (conceived) and gives birth to a son will be ceremonially unclean for
seven days, just as she is unclean during her monthly period.
Pregnant is the word zara that means, to sow, to yield and to be
pregnant. It is first used in Scripture in Gen 1:11 where it says Let the
earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed....
Herb also means green plant and the green plant will yield
(be pregnant) and produce seed. Seed is the word zera that
means seed, semen, offspring and be fruitful. Zera and zara
are spelt the same irz Zayin Resh Ayin, and this indicates that
the seed is pregnant as well. This means that the seed has the build in
capacity and power in itself to yield or produce fruit or offspring after its own kind,
all it needs is ground and water. The woman is the same; she is born with all the
seed (eggs) in her that will last her a lifetime so that she can produce
offspring. She only needs the seed of a man to produce offspring after their kind.
YHVH uses the example of seed in a parable in Matt 13 to explain how the Word
is like a seed that is sown in the hearts of man and how the seed of the Word
can produce offspring after His kind. Looking at this concept from a spiritual
point of view shows us that the Word of YHVH is pregnant and has the potential
and power in itself to reproduce after YHVHs kind. Man, in the absence of
YHVHs Word, will produce after mans kind. Man, together with YHVHs Word
(seed), will produce after YHVHs kind and will be transformed into His Likeness,
that is a new nature that makes you act like Him. We will now look at the deeper
meaning of Zara and zera from a Hebrew perspective to see how this
transformation work takes place within mans soul.
Spiritual Application: Zara consists of a Zayin z Resh r Ayin i. Zayin
means sword, that is YHVHs Word. Resh means human reasoning as well
as head or leader. Ayin means eye, that only sees in the physical.
Hebrews 4 states that the Sword (zayin) of YHVHs Word cuts between bone
and marrow. Let's see how the seed of YHVHs Word can change the seed
of man.

5
Heb 4:12-13 For the Word of YHVH is living and active and sharper than
any two-edged sword z, and piercing as far as the division of soul and
spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts r and
intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His
sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes i of
Him with whom we have to do.
As soon as the Word or seed of YHVH penetrates the heart of
man, the process of division starts (division is part of the
Creation process described in Genesis). When YHVH created, He separated or
divided the light from darkness, water from water and land from water. Then He
filled the divided parts with life and meaning. Before starting the creation process,
His Spirit moved over that face of the waters of the deep. Connecting this thought
in conjunction with 2 Chr 16:9, gives us insight into the re-creating process where
His eyes (Spirit) went to a fro to see who He will support (re-create), those who
gave their hearts fully unto Him.
In this spiritual picture, we find all the aspects of the seed zera, Zayin, Resh,
Ayin, that is Sword, Mind and Eyes) about the Creation process. The Word of
YHVH is designed to separate and well as to fill every part with meaning and life,
in the re-creation or restoration of man. Everything that has to be done to man
internally is coded and written in His Torah, the foundation of spiritual life. We
need His Spirit to help us see what is darkness and what is light and use His
Word to separate those things that are not of light.
The sword of the Word of YHVH works on a deep level and divides between the
Soul (Nephesh) and the spirit (Neshamah), able to judge the hidden things within
every person, your thoughts / human reasoning / mind (resh), and your eyes, the
way you see things (ayin).
Lev 12:2 Speak to the children of Yisral, saying, When a woman has
conceived (Tazria).
A word for word translation reads:
Speak to the children of Israel, saying: A woman that shall be caused to
seed.
The phrase has conceived, has to do with becoming pregnant, and the
second phrase; shall be caused to seed, implies when birth occurs. We see
this in the conception and birth of Yshua; He was born of a woman but born
without a sinful nature. Messiah is the only one born of a woman who
DOES NOT have Adams blood flowing in His veins. He has the undefiled
blood of the heavenly Father. YHVH created the woman in such a way that
she contributes no blood to her fetus, Miriam (Mary) was able to bring forth
another Adam.
1 Cor 15:45 And so it has been written, The first man Adam became a
living being, the last Adam a life-giving Spirit.
Lev 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you
upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that
maketh an atonement for the soul."

6
Purification of the Woman
The woman is unclean for 7 days when
giving birth to a boy and the woman must
wait 33 days to be purified from her
bleeding. When giving birth to a girl, she
is unclean for 14 days, and she must wait
66 days to be purified from her bleeding,
double the time.
Number 7 is associated with the words,
to perish, vanish, destruction, to grief, to
become faint.
Number 14 is associated with the words; jar, thorns, sacrifice, gift, sufficient,
beloved, David, hold a Feast, dance and celebrate.
Spiritual Insight: The birth of a boy is associated with the Suffering Servant,
Mashiach ben Yoseph, Yshua Who became the Sacrifice and Who suffered
greatly. The birth of the girl is associated with the restored Bride because of
the Work of Messiah. It is also associated with Mashiach ben David, the
Beloved King and Groom Who is preparing a Feast for His Bride called the
Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Q Why does she have to be unclean double the time bearing a daughter?
In the beginning, when man sinned, Adam only received one curse, but Chavah
(Eve) received two curses; bringing children into this world with multiplied sorrow
and submitting to her husbands authority. This makes her unclean in two
areas, and YHVH needs to do a more complex work to restore her. In saying this,
women are more complex than men because women are emotionally wired and
men are more logical. When you ask a man to buy something from the
Supermarket, he will generally only buy the things on his shopping list. When
women go shopping, they take the shopping list as a guideline and buy
everything they feel like. This is because she makes decisions with her emotional
side as well.
This is why the Serpent tempted the woman and not the man; he worked through
her emotions to get to her so that she can make the wrong decision. The Serpent
brought up the topic of death, and that triggered the emotion of fear in her. Then
he brought up the topic of being like YHVH, and that triggered the emotion linked
to desire and power. One emotion pushed her (fear), and the other emotion
pulled her (desire), and together formed a powerful force that made her cross the
line YHVH drew in the sand through His Commandment regarding the trees.
This is the same tactic the Serpent use to cause YHVHs people to fall; namely,
fear and covetousness. Fear is the opposite of faith and to covet, forms the
foundation for breaking the rest of the Ten Commandments.
With this I am not saying that women sin more than men; men have the same
weakness namely desire, especially for power but also women, and fear, that is
commonly found amongst men, just as with women. Adam ate of the same fruit
and had the same weaknesses, that is why believing men and men are seen
collectively as the Bride.

7
We are the Bride, and Yshua is the Groom. The reason the Bride needs to be
under the authority of the Groom (Future Husband), is because He has the logic
that can help contain and guide Her emotions. The Word of YHVH is logical, not
emotional, and that is why His Word is required to contain and guide our
emotions so that we will not create emotional open doors through which the
Serpent will come and cause us to fall. That is why it is not good to get believers
emotionally hyped up and then ask them to give money. That is why it is not good
to say that you felt the Holy Spirit told you something and He confirmed it with a
wonderful feeling. Test the spirits through the Word of YHVH and if it is not
harmonising with Scripture, called a new revelation, the reject it because it may
be a trap of the Serpent using deceiving spirits that will work through those who
are guided by their emotions. The heart is our emotional centre, and the Word
says in Jer 17:9; The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and
desperately wicked. We as the Bride needs to be purified from our emotions and
learn to submit to our Husband to be, Yshua, Who is the Word Who became
flesh, the logic we need to guide our hearts.

Ritual Uncleanness
We have covered the fallen state of mans seed or nature and
how YHVH restores the internal part of man first. In this
section, we will look at the external part of man, the body, and
how sin caused the body to become ritually unclean, and
described as the disease called Leprosy.
We live in an impure world and a state of ritual uncleanness. We are born into a
state of uncleanness, and we become unclean by just being human, living life
and through the normal way our bodies work. For example; a woman becomes
unclean after her monthly cycle after she gave birth. This is part of normal life,
and YHVH commanded us to procreate, and the very act of obeying that
Commandment makes us unclean. You become unclean when you are born, as
a result of the blood you are in contact with that left your mothers body. You
become unclean when you are in contact with the dead, loved ones who died and
you have to bury them. You become unclean when in contact with an animal that
died, farmers have to deal with that on a regular basis. Just being human and
living life causes us to become ritually unclean. This unclean state is temporary
and in the time of the Temple, would restrict you from entering the Temple until
you are made clean again. Next week we will look at how to become ritually
clean again and what that means on a spiritual level. This unclean state does
not mean that you are to stay at home, not having fellowship with other believers.
No, it only applied to the Temple, because the Temple could be defiled by
peoples uncleanness. The physical Temple does not exist, and we are covered
by the blood of the Lamb, allowing us to enter the presence of YHVH, assembling
with fellow believers, even if we are ritually unclean based on the Book of
Leviticus.
Q How is sin or uncleanness connected to Leprosy?

8
Imagine if sin was visible on your skin, and each time you
do something wrong, it immediately manifests as a
blemish on your skin, like it did with Miriam. For example;
if you speak bad about someone, white spots appear,
when you lie, red manifest on your skin, and when you
have dirty thoughts, black blemishes cover your body. If
you try to cover it with clothing, the spots then appear on
your clothes as well. If you try to hide in your house, it
shows up on the outside walls for the world to see.
This is what leprosy actually was, a visible supernatural skin disease that
manifested hidden sin in the flesh, for everyone to see. Leprosy only existed from
the time of Moses and was last mentioned when Yshua healed the lepers
outside the city, but that does not mean it is not existing today.
Spiritual Application: YHVH gave leprosy as a warning sign to His people so
that when something is wrong in their lives, they have to present themselves
to the Priest and do whatever he advises to become clean again. Yshua is
our High Priest, and whenever sin we have, we can present to Him, and He
will advise us what to do so that we can become clean again. If you are born
again, He will convict you through His Spirit, Who will lead you to repentance,
so that you can become clean again. The problem comes in when you ignore
His voice or have too many noises in your life that cause you not to hear Him
anymore. Our Fathers discipline is designed to help us find our way back to
Him because He loves us. Sin will ultimately destroy you, but your Father will
do everything in His power to save you from destruction and from yourself,
because of your fallen state.
Q - Why is it that normal things in life cause us to become unclean?
The unclean state of man has to do with death that came
into this world through sin, and this death state causes
everything to be ritually unclean. Adam and Eve sinned
and brought death into the world. Death is inherited and
passed on to man at birth due to mans fallen nature. This
fallen state cause man to sin and bring death into their
lives, feeding and sustaining this vicious downward spiral
or cycle-of-death. It is only through the work of Yshua that
man can be released from this cycle of death that
causes us to be bound to this unclean state. Paul describes it as the body of
death that is tied to you because of your fallen state and the sins you committed.
Rom 7:23-24 But I see another law at work in my body, warring against
the law of my mind and holding me captive to the law of sin that dwells
within me. 24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this
body of death? 25Thanks be to God, through Yshua the Messiah our Lord!
So then, with my mind, I serve the law of God, but with my flesh, I serve
the law of sin.
Paul talks about two different laws, one in the mind, and later on the Law of
God, that is the Torah, and then another law working in the body, or the law of
sin. The body of sin is the body of death, that is this downward spiral of death
that causes us to obey our flesh that leads to sin and ultimately death.

9
It is only through the work of Yshua the Messiah that this downward spiral can
be broken and the body of death can be removed from my flesh. Part of the
Work of Messiah is to reveal His Commandments to man (He is the Word that
became flesh, He represents all the Commandments as well). Through this Work
of Messiah, we can follow the Law of the mind or the Law of YHVH, that is
Yshua, and that is His Torah. Just like the Commandments and the Spirit are
one, so are the Torah and Yshua one, the One Who contains and gave the
Commandments of YHVH to man. This also means that the Work Yshua did on
the stake (cross) allows us, and gives us access to His Torah, and through the
help of His Spirit we can apply every Commandment or its wisdom to our lives,
renewing our minds with His Word, become the Mind of Christ /Messiah that
Paul referred to here as the Law of the mind. The renewing of the mind needs
to happen before the renewing of the flesh can start and that is why His
Commandments are required for these restoration processes with the help of His
Spirit.
The problem with being unclean is that we cannot come into the direct Presence
of YHVH due to His Holiness that is a consuming fire that will devour sin that is
brought before Him. This is why we need to be taken back to the perfect state
that Adam and Eve were created in before sin defiled them with an unclean
leprous fallen state. This renewal work will be complete after Yshuas final
work during His Second Coming where our unclean bodies will be renewed as
well.

Restoration of the Skin.

Your garments represent your actions, and every move you
make will be revealed through your clothes. Just as your clothes
covers your nakedness, so does your actions cover your true
self that includes sin, but is sometimes revealed through your
actions. Just like the garment covers the skin, so does the skin
covers the soul. YHVH used Leprosy to manifest the soul or
hidden parts of man, in order reveal impurities so that the person could deal
with it. YHVH hides Himself to protect us from His Holiness, but we hid ourselves
because of our sinfulness, similar to Adam and Eve when they covered
themselves with fig leaves to hide their nakedness (sin nature). Spiritual Leprosy
still exists today, and YHVH will expose the hidden sinful nature within His people
so that they can deal with it. We tend to think the new nature replaced the old
sinful nature, but the reality is that we now have two natures warring against
one another (Rom 7).
Skin is the word ore rvi and sounds similar to the word ore rva that that means
light. The only difference is that the i Ayin is replaced with an a Aleph. It is
believed that before sin came into the Garden of Eden, mans skin was glowing
and covered with the Glory (light) of YHVH. But when they sinned, their nakedness
was exposed because their skin of glory was removed as their spiritual nature
(nashamah) died, leaving them with a sinful nature (nephesh), symbolised by
normal skin.

10
We learned in last weeks Torah Portion how to receive the Glory again, coming
upon the Priesthood and the people, in other words, restoring every persons skin
back to its original state when it radiated with the Glory of YHVH. For this to
happen, YHVH has to exchange the Ayin i with an Aleph a in your life, removing
your ritual unclean leprous state. This means that a deep work has to be done on
the inside so that the leprosy can disappear on the outside.
Q How would He do this?
We need the Aleph in our lives. You receive the Aleph in your life when you do a
spiritual Olah or Burnt offering, giving yourself totally unto Him so that He can
write His Name hvhy or Character on your skin, and through your actions, you will
act and look like Him.
For His Character or actions to be on your skin, He has to write His Character on
your heart first, placing His Character or nature inside of you, and this is done by
receiving YHVHs Spirit. Then His Aleph will be in your heart, and manifest
through your skin (actions), restoring His former glory upon you. His Aleph
represents His Name and His Character, and through His Spirit, He will reveal
insights regarding Himself, His Plan and how to live this life. Now you will be able
to see things from His perspective, with your restored spiritual sight
(insight/revelation). This replaces the i Ayin (physical sight) with the a Aleph
(spiritual sight) and will replace your leprous skin with glorious skin that radiates
His Glory (Image and Likeness). This was what Yshua meant, quoting the
prophecy in Isa 61, when He said He came to restore sight to the blind.
Luke 4:17-18 And the book of the prophet Isaiah were handed to Him.
And He opened the book and found the place where it was written, 18 "the
Spirit of YHVH is upon me because he anointed me to preach the gospel to
the poor. he has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery
of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the
favourable year of YHVH"
Prophetic Application: The skin disease called Leprosy within this Torah
Portion has to do with mans fallen skin or fallen unclean state that needs to
be cleansed and elevated to glorious skin, so that man can return to the
Garden of Eden, walking with YHVH. If you look at these parallels, it shows us
that Adam and Eve actually got leprosy, right after they sinned and YHVH had
to remove and isolated them outside the City (Garden) for 7 days and will be
declared clean at the beginning of the 7th Millennium. This is the story of
Humanity, and that sin causes them to be outside YHVHs Presence for 7000
years just like lepers have to stay outside the City for seven days. After that,
they were inspected, and those who were declared clean could be restored
back into the Community (Presence of YHVH).

Leaving Bondage Cleansed from Leprosy

It must have been awesome to serve as a Priest in the days of the Tabernacle
where you get to go into the Presence of YHVH and get exposure to all the things
of YHVH. Then, on the other hand, there is the part of this job description that is
not so appealing; dealing with peoples issues, especially things like leprosy,
examining sores to declare them clean or unclean.

11
Spiritual Application: This reveals two kinds of mature believers or leaders
within the Household of YHVH. The majority of leaders (mature believers)
want to serve YHVH, sing songs, praising Him and spend time in His
presence. Then there are the few who are brave enough to get their hands
dirty, and they are happy to go out and deal with all the issues regarding
people, sort out conflicts, visiting and praying for the sick, and sometimes
helping with whatever is required according to their issue or need. The
Leaders or mature believers should have this balance to maintain a healthy
Congregation.
The first time leprosy was mentioned was just before the Exodus when YHVH
told Moses to put his hand into his bosom and when he took it out it was covered
with leprosy (Exo 4:6). The context of this verse was where Moses was afraid
and thought that the people would not listen to him. YHVH gave him two signs to
proof that He was with Moses. The first sign was leprosy and the second sign
was where his staff turned into a serpent.
Q Ever wondered why YHVH chose these two signs to
convince Moses and the people that He will free them from
Slavery and Pharaoh?
Prophetic Application: Leprosy is connected to the
flesh and the fallen state of man where they are slaves
to sin. The staff is associated with the staff of a
shepherd leading the flock and YHVH reveals to them
that they are being shepherded by the Serpent.
The hand was placed in the bosom twice and revealed twice. The first time it
was covered with leprosy and represents Messiahs First Coming, where He
would come from His Fathers Bosom, and take mans leprosy (sin) upon
Himself. Then the hand (Messiah) return to the Bosom (Father) and was
revealed a second time, and then leprosy (uncleanness/sin) would be
removed. This represents the Second Coming of Messiah when He will restore
every persons skin with a renewed body that radiates and shines His Glory.
This is when the final restoration of humanity will be complete (1 John 3:2).

The Snake or Serpent will be grabbed by the tail. Tail is the word zanab
that is found in Isa 9:14 where YHVH said He would cut off the head and the tail,
the branch and rush from Israel. This is the verse that is preceded by verse 6 and
7 that explains its context:
Isa 9:6-7 For unto us a Child is born, unto us, a Son is given: and the
Government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty Elohim, Everlasting Father, Prince of
Peace. 7 Of the increase of His Government and peace there shall be no end,
upon the throne of David, and upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to
establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
The zeal of YHVH of hosts will perform this.
After that in verse 8, YHVH said that He had sent a Word (Messiah) unto Israel
that was a light upon them and even Ephraim (Gentiles becoming part of Israel)
and Samaria. Samaritan comes from the word shamerim ,yrms that mean
Guardians/Keepers/Watchers [of the Torah/Law]," and they are believed to have
a purer form of Judaism than the Jews at the time of the Second Temple.

12
Ephriam represents the people who received a revelation of Who the Messiah is,
but the rest of Israel rejected Him because of their stubbornness and pride, not
receiving the Word and Light Who was sent. Verse 10 talks about the destruction
of the Temple with bricks are falling, but it will be build up again with hewn
stones or living stones (Body of Messiah), and this happened in 70 AD. Verse 12
reveals that Israels enemies will come upon them and devour them with an open
mouth. After this event, we find the verse that contains the word shake,
verse14, where Israels head and tail, branch and rush will be cut off in one day.
The head and the Branch represents the Messiah Who is the Beloved King,
Who has the Government upon His shoulders, He is the One Who would be cut
off in one day. This revealed Yshua as the Messiah when He died on the stake
(cross) during His First Coming.
The tail represents the tail of the Serpent, that is to be under his
authority, which places YHVHs people under bondage. This is
supported by the meaning of the word rush that rhymes with tail
(Hebrew Poetry). The Hebrew for rush is agmoun, that means
bowing of the head, and is used in Job 41:2 talking about the hook
(agmoun) that is a thorn through the nose. The thorn through the nose
is a phrase that describes how people were taken into captivity. A
thorn was pushed through the middle part of the nose, on which a rope
is tied, that is connected to the persons hands in front of that
individual. This caused them to walk in a row, connected by these ropes, walking
with their hands tied behind their backs, naked, led by their noses into captivity.
This implies that the Snake Moses grabbed by its tail, was a prophetic symbol of
Israels captivity that will be cut off in one day. This will be fulfilled during
Messiahs Second Coming, where Israel (Jews) will see Whom they have
pierced, and then they will drink from the fountain of Salvation (Zec 12),
accepting Yshua as the Messiah.

What Causes Spiritual Leprosy in a Congregation?

There are four reasons why people can be contaminated with spiritual leprosy;
the initial fallen, sinful state, the tongue or evil speech, becoming lukewarm and
lastly, by mixing man-made traditions with truth.
The Fallen Sinful State: We are born into this world with a
fallen, sinful nature, and we naturally sin because we cant help
it and do not know any better. This is when you follow the
fleshly instincts (Nephesh) and do whatever you desire or feel
like. To grow out of this fallen immature state, you need to be
restored inwardly, and that is what is meant by the term, born
again, also known as to be born of the Spirit. This is when
you receive a new nature that is opposed to sin. I always through being born
again is when you receive the Holy Spirit (mature spirit) and He is your new
nature you need to express through your life. The fact is that your soul gets re-
born or brought into life through the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit. This
new born soul (nashamah), is the spiritual part of you that has been awakened
and now needs to take over from your fleshly soul (nephesh), expressing this new
nature with the help of His Spirit. For this to happen, you need to become
spiritually mature or have a mature nashamah (spiritual soul/nature).

13
The Tongue: There is an example that connects Leprosy with
the misuse of the tongue. That is in Numbers 12 where Miriam
and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the wife he chose.
The word to speak is dawbar rbd but also means plague
or pestilence. This is precisely what happened when they
spoke against Moses, a plague of leprosy came upon her
because she was speaking plague. As a result of this, she had to be isolated
outside the camp for seven days, away from the Community, so that they would
not be affected by her plague. This means that if you speak against someone,
you will receive spiritual leprosy and will cause you to be isolated from the
Congregation for a period of time until YHVH has dealt with your contagious state
and your speech is healed.
Becoming Lukewarm: This is when someone starts to
show signs of becoming cold in their faith, losing their passion
and zeal for YHVHs things. This state will cause them to
naturally remove themselves from the Congregation. They start
to lose their commitment and eagerness to learn and even might
think they know it all because they heard that before. They will
find issues with other people, make excuses and miss
gatherings, and eventually just stay away. This is when you lose your first love,
just like the first and seventh Assembly, mentioned in Revelation chapters 2 and
3, warning them both not to grow cold. If you know someone like that, just pray
that YHVH will restore their zeal and passion for His Word and His people, so
that they can be healed from their leprous state and return to the Congregation.
Mixing & Confusion (Babylon): This is the most
dangerous state of Leprosy and is very contagious. This is when
someone is starting to compromise, allowing false teachings or
man-made doctrines come into their lives, mixed with truth. The
unskilled or untrained believer will easily be confused by
someone with this disease because it will all sound religious
and make sense to the untrained mind and immature soul.
If someone like that is not removed, he/she can cause serious damage,
contaminating the whole Congregation, causing disputes, confusion and division.
Most of us come from different cultural backgrounds that might have customs
that are opposing to YHVHs Word. We need to unlearn these things and learn
YHVHs Word to adopt our new culture expressing our new nature that is in
line with His whole Word. Then there is the dynamic caused by people who grew
up in different Christian Denominations, which has foundational doctrines, of
which some might not be Scripturally accurate. Bringing in this mix-match of
doctrines and not weighing them against Scripture, will cause the mixing in of
man-made traditions. This will become a breeding ground for confusion that
causes this kind of leprosy. The key is to stay teachable and do not try to push a
certain doctrine if it is not confirmed by Scripture. If your doctrine is not found in
Scripture then change your Doctrine, not the Word. This kind leprosy is revealed
in the Book of Revelation and is known as Babylon, the religious system that is
based on mixing that causes confusion and is currently infecting the whole
Household of YHVH all over the world. YHVH will remove those with this kind of
leprosy because of its highly contagious attributes that make His people sick and
ineffective.
