Summary:
When students come into college, stress and anxiety are frequently present
due to the workload that college brings. This is mainly caused by the academics and
schoolwork, but there are also other outside factors that could cause such stress.
According to this article, time management is a key tool however for coping with all
of this. This strategy has been tested to be true and therefore is offered by the
universities counseling services. This study reached out to 165 students and learned
more about their relationship between time management and stress, or just even
their GPA.
An action that tested this was having students fill out a questionnaire, which
helped determine how most students manage their time. With that being said, the
questionnaire also assessed their behaviors and attitude connected to their time
management. Results showed that students, who use their time well and have
control of their time, are overall more content. This leads into one have a better
work ethic and performance. To summarize, this study explains that if one can
manage their time well in college, then it will lead to be more successful, whether
that is academically or psychologically.
