To grasp a better understanding of their locations, the

students will use Google Earth to further examine the
bodies of water and mountain ranges talked about in class.
*For extra credit, the students are asked to find the precise
location of their home in order to understand where they
live in relation to other places in the world.

Using technology, the student will learn the basic functions

of Google Earth to locate the given waterways and
mountain ranges listed above. Once a point is located, the
student must screen-shot the picture of the area and paste it
into Microsoft Word. The student must also label each
picture. At the end of the assignment, the student should
have a total of eight pictures. If the student chooses to
locate their home for extra credit, there will be a total of
nine pictures.
