Sweetness of Salah

Day 1:

Hazrat Umar bin Khattabs story (even after being stabbed by a poisonous
dagger continued his prayers)
Namaz momin ki mairaaj hai (Hadith)
Salaah is the form of love
Salaah is a form of Shukar
Namaz meri ankhhon ki Thandak hai Hadith
Are our prayers full of shukar ?
Do we understand the meaning of our prayers?
Do we know why do we have rukooh in the namaz , or two sajdas or why do
we sit in between two sajdas
Namaz is the only pillar among the 5 pillars that we can perform at any time
of the day
Namaz is the only thing that keeps us from going astray
We need to change our lifestyle in order to gain khushoo in our prayers, it
doesnt happen without it. Change In lifestyle is the key
Humain Allah ka banda banna hoga, we will have to bow down. We will have
to become Gods slave. On the day of judgement, we will be asked about our
prayers, if our prayers are on point then our other actions are automatically
on point too. Our sins effect our prayers.
Prayer is the best way to communicate with Allah. He who loves us infinitely
yet we do not give our complete attention and devotion to Him while praying
Some of our prayers will be discarded on the day of judgement, God will not
need them. When our hearts are pouring with worldly desires our prayers are
full of ghaflat, yet Allah loves us so much he calls us to Him everyday/ 5
times in a day.
Have we ever experienced our prayers? When we are involved in other
worldly activities we get so engrossed that sometimes we do not remember
the people in our surrounding however that is not the case when we pray.
Scholars say that in order to achieve khushoo in your prayers one should
always remember the akhirah.

Day 2

Salah root word: two root words

Sau-la-ya (we pray to God to send his rehmat on the Prophet PBUH)
There are 100 parts of Gods rehmat, we get to see only 1 part of this in
this world and the other 99 will be seen on the day of Qiyamah. Mothers
love his rehmat, love for animals is also rehmat. If we pray with complete
devotion, we will witness Gods rehmat.
The other word we get from this is sila(to connect), Allah hu Akbar
connects us with Allah.
The other word is jalna to burn, when we pray our sins are burned.
 We get three rivers to purify ourselves in the world, and if these 3 are not
enough we get a fourth one. Ibn e Al Qayyum says that the first river is
Tauba, we should ask for forgiveness for all our past sins.
Second river is river of good deeds, after repenting we should practice good
deeds to increase our sawab. The third river is river of test, when we get
close to God he puts us under a test to see the strength of our faith.

When we our hurt by someone we should not seek revenge instead we

should forgive that person. We should strive to do good in this world. Allah
gunahon ko naikion main badal dega.
We should be happy and satisfied with what God has given us. We should
be shukar-guzar people. Razee tu BillAh.
When we dont get these 3 rivers then the 4 th one is Jahannum. May Allah
protect us from that.
If we sin during the day then we must repent during the night in Tahajjud.
The best way to remember Allah is to pray, it connects us to him.

Importance of namaz
Namaz is a Sutoon (pillar) in order to have a strong building the pillar must
be strong
Namaz islam ki kunji hai (key) you cant unlock the doors of islam without
the key of Namaz. We should pray with all our heart and complete
concentration.
Iman or shirk or kufar k darmiyan farq sirf Namaz hai (Hadith)
Humare or munafiqon k beech main farq namaz hai, jisne namaz chor di
pas us ne kufar kia (Tirmidhi 82)
Surah Mudassir Ayat 38 47
Namaz Allah k zikr ka zariya hai. We remember those whom we love
dearly, hence we should remember love Allah out of love purely.
Hum ko Allah ka Ghulam banna hai. We should repent and bow down in
front of God like a slave.
Khushoo Sweetness in prayers
Kha Sha aa to feel humbled.
Depends on the heart and the physical appearance. The heart should feel
the ajizi and humbleness and the head should be bowed down with the
limbs let loose and not stiff. We should stand in front of God with love
oozing out of our heart, soul and body.
Chapter 68 verse 43
Chapter 88 verse 2
Chapter 59 verse 29
Chapter 42 verse 45
The above verses are talking about munafiqeen. They pray lazily, they
pray to show off , they dont remember God in their prayers. We should
look at ourselves when praying.
Musaloon vs Mominoon
Those who pray are not bakheel and will be entering the gates of Jannah
 Allah ki ibadat aise karo jaise tum Allah ko dekh rahay ho warna yeh socho
k Allah tumhe dekh raha hai
Those who pray will always be successful

How to achieve Khushoo

Change of lifestyle Gunahon ko tarq karna (Jhoot, gheebat, hurting

someone, neglecting Sunnah, refrain from laghviyat (useless things)
Preparing for Salaah

Keep yourself free for Namaz do not pray in hurry

Listen to the Azaan
Miswaak karain

While praying

Ankhon ki hifazat karain

Fulfill or the steps with attention
Understand the meaning of what you are reciting
Ibadat main ehsaan ko yaad rakhna

Pray to God that he makes you how he wants you to become, keeping all the above
in mind.
