Purpose/Objectives/Outcomes: Students will be able to understand the vocabulary words in the story, Rainbow Fish, and be able
to comprehend the story as the events are sequenced.
Strand 1: Language Concept: Vocabulary
Strand 2: Emergent Literacy Concept: Comprehensive
Strand 3: Emergent Writing Concept: Early writing

The students will be able to: Students will understand the Rainbow Fish vocabulary and understand the events taking place in the
story.

Assessment of student outcomes: Student observations, walking around and assisting those who are struggling, ask questions to
check for understandings
