The entire world was entering into a new era of technology, economics, and ethics. Many European countries as well as
America were developing into the modern countries as we know them today. During the mid 1850's to 1914 many
countries begun an increased interest of nationalism and the conquering of other 'barbaric' or 'unsettled' lands for
profit and development. It is this period that many major ideologies and major international policies and relations
began to take effect, especially for countries who were the Imperialistic side.
