Unit Summary:
In this unit, students will understand that systems of equations can be used to model the relationship between two
real-world functions. Students will learn to solve these systems algebraically using three different methods for solving a
system of equations. Each method will be mentioned in three lessons, and by the end of three lessons, students should
keep in mind that these methods will lead to the same solution, but we will be approaching each system differently.
Students will also represent the solution set to a system of linear equations in two variables in the coordinate plane.
Systems of equations will be used to model real-world situations, leading to algebraic solutions and in some cases,
estimates or predictions about future occurrences. Students will solve systems of equations algebraically using
