CircuitBreakers:Somecircuitbreakersusedinhomesarenotratedforhighinrushcurrentsthatcan
occurwhenabikeisfirstturnedonorevenduringuse.Ifyourbikeistrippingthehousecircuit
breaker(eventhoughitisthepropercurrentrating)butthecircuitbreakeronthebikeitselfdoes
nottrip,youwillneedtoreplacethehomebreakerwithahighinrushtype.Thisisnotawarranty
defect.Thisisaconditionweasamanufacturehavenoabilitytocontrol.Thispartisavailable

GROUNDINGINSTRUCTIONS
Thisproductmustbegrounded.Ifthebikeshouldmalfunctionorbreakdown,groundingprovidesa
pathofleastresistanceforelectriccurrent,reducingtheriskofelectricshock.Thisproductisequipped
withacordhavinganequipmentgroundingplug.Theplugmustbepluggedintoanappropriateoutlet
thatisproperlyinstalledandgroundedinaccordancewithalllocalcodesandordinances.
DANGERImproperconnectionoftheequipmentgroundingconductorcanresultinariskofelectric
shock.Checkwithaqualifiedelectricianorservicemanifyouareindoubtastowhethertheproductis
properlygrounded.Donotmodifytheplugprovidedwiththeproductifitwillnotfittheoutlet;havea

threads.ThereisanLstampedintotheendofthethreadedpostoftheleft
pedalandanRintheright.Makesuretotightenthepedalsasfirmlyasyou
possiblycan. Itmaybenecessarytoretightenthepedalsifyounoticea
thumpingsoundwhenpedalingthebike.Aclickingnoise,orthumpingsound
duringpedalingisusuallycausedbythepedalsbeingloose.

FOOTPEDALS
Throughresearchperformedwithaleadingsportsscientistandphysicalrehabilitationexpert,
Soleengineeringhasdevelopedabreakthroughinpedaldesign.Typicalstationaryexercisebikes
arewiderthananormalroadbike.Thereasonistoallowforthebrakingmechanism,pulleys,
drivecomponentsandplasticcovers.Sincethebikeiswider,soisthedistancebetweenthe
pedals;thiswidthbetweenthepedalsiscalledtheQfactor.

SolehasdesignedourpedalsystemsotheQfactoristhesmallestintheindustry,butwedidnot
stopthere.Wehavealsocustomdesignedandtooledanewpedalthatprovidesatwodegree
inwardtilttocompensatefortheQfactornotbeingperfect.HavingasmallQfactorinaddition
tothetwodegreeinwardtiltofthepedalsputstheuserintoabiomechanicalneutralalignment.
Thismeansthatyourfeet,ankles,kneesandhipsarelinedupproperlyensuringacomfortable
workout.

SEATADJUSTMENT
Youareabletoadjusttheseatpositionwhileseated.Pullupontheleverlocatedinfrontofthe
seatandslidethecarriageforwardorbackwards.Thecorrectpositioniswhenthereisaslight
bendinyourkneewhenthepedalisatitsfarthestpositionforward(3oclockpositionwhen
lookingfromtherightsideofthebike).Releasetheleverandyouarereadytobegin.

PEDALSTRAPADJUSTMENT
Adjusteachpedalstrapsothattheyaresnugaroundyourfeet.Youhavetheoptionofadjusting
theholelocationononeorbothsidesofthepedal.

POWERUP
Whenpowerisconnectedtothefitnessbiketheconsolewillautomaticallypowerup.These
modelsoperateon12V/1.5ADCwhichissuppliedbythepowerpack.Thereisapowerswitch
locatedwherethelinecordplugsintotheunitonthefrontofthebike.

Whenitisfirstpoweredon,theconsolewillperformaninternalselftest.Duringthistimeallthe
lightswillturnon.Whenthelightsgooff,theMessageWindowwillshowasoftwareversion
(i.e.:VER1.0)andtheDistancewindowwilldisplayanodometerreading.Theodometerreading
displayshowmanyvirtualmilesthefitnessbikehasgone.TheTimewindowdisplayshowmany
hoursthefitnessbikehasbeenused.

Theodometerandtimewillremaindisplayedforonlyafewsecondsthentheconsolewillgoto
thestartupdisplay.Thedotmatrixdisplaywillbescrollingthroughthedifferentworkoutprofiles
andtheMessageWindowwillscrollthestartupmessage.Youmaynowbegintousetheconsole.

QUICKSTART
Thisisthequickestwaytostartaworkout.Aftertheconsole
powersupyoujustpresstheStartkeytobegin,thiswill
initiatetheQuickStartmode.InQuickStartthetimewill
countupfromzeroandtheworkload/resistancemaybe
adjustedmanuallybypressingtheLevel/buttons.The
dotmatrixdisplaywillbeshowingatrackwithablinkingdot

Beforewegetstarted,awordaboutHeartRate:
Theoldmotto,nopain,nogain,isamyththathasbeenoverpoweredbythebenefitsof
exercisingcomfortably.Agreatdealofthissuccesshasbeenpromotedbytheuseofheartrate
monitors.Withtheproperuseofaheartratemonitor,manypeoplefindthattheirusualchoice
ofexerciseintensitywaseithertoohighortoolowandexerciseismuchmoreenjoyableby
maintainingtheirheartrateinthedesiredbenefitrange.

Todeterminethebenefitrangeinwhichyouwishtotrain,youmustfirstdetermineyour
MaximumHeartRate.Thiscanbeaccomplishedbyusingthefollowingformula:220minusyour
age.ThiswillgiveyoutheMaximumHeartRate(MHR)forsomeoneofyourage.Todetermine
the effectiveheart rate range for specificgoals you simply calculate a percentageyour MHR.
YourHeartratetrainingzoneis50%to90%ofyourmaximumheartrate.60%ofyourMHRis
thezonethatburnsfatwhile80%isforstrengtheningthecardiovascularsystem.This60%to
80%isthezonetostayinformaximumbenefit.

Howtowearyourwirelesscheststraptransmitter:
1. Attachthetransmittertotheelasticstrapusingthelockingparts.
2. Adjustthestrapastightlyaspossibleaslongasthestrapisnottoo
tighttoremaincomfortable.
3. Positionthetransmitterwiththelogocenteredinthemiddleof
yourbodyfacingawayfromyourchest(somepeoplemust
positionthetransmitterslightlyleftofcenter).Attachthefinalend
oftheelasticstrapbyinsertingtheroundendand,usingthelocking
parts,securethetransmitterandstraparoundyourchest.
4. Positionthetransmitterimmediatelybelowthepectoralmuscles.
5. Sweatisthebestconductortomeasureveryminuteheartbeatelectricalsignals.
However,plainwatercanalsobeusedtoprewettheelectrodes(2ribbedovalareason
thereversesideofthebeltandbothsidesofthetransmitter).Itsalsorecommendedthat
youwearthetransmitterstrapafewminutesbeforeyourworkout.Someusers,because
ofbodychemistry,haveamoredifficulttimeinachievingastrong,steadysignalatthe

6. Yourworkoutmustbewithinrangedistancebetweentransmitter/receivertoachievea

DyacoCanadaInc.warrantsallitsfitnessbikepartsforaperiodoftimelistedbelowfromthedateofretailsale,asdeterminedbysale
receipt.DyacoCanadaInc.sresponsibilitiesincludeprovidingneworremanufacturedparts,atDyacoCanadaInc.soption,andtechnical
supporttoourindependentdealersandservicingorganizations.Intheabsenceofadealerorserviceorganization,thesewarrantieswill
beadministeredbyDyacoCanadaInc.directlytoaconsumer.Thewarrantyperiodappliestothefollowingcomponents:

Thiswarrantyappliesonlytoproductsinordinaryhouseholduse,andtheconsumerisresponsiblefortheitemslistedbelow:
1. Thewarrantyregistrationcardmustbecompletedandreturnedtotheaddresslistedonthecardwithin10daysoftheoriginal
purchasetovalidatetheDyacoCanadaInc.slimitedwarranty.
2. Properuseofthefitnessbikeinaccordancewiththeinstructionsprovidedinthismanual.
3. Properinstallationinaccordancewithinstructionsprovidedwiththefitnessbikeandwithalllocalelectriccodes.
4. Properconnectiontoagroundedpowersupplyofsufficientvoltage,replacementofblownfuses,repairoflooseconnectionsor
defectsinhousewiring.
5. Expensesformakingthefitnessbikeaccessibleforservicing,includinganyitemthatwasnotpartofthefitnessbikeatthetimeit
wasshippedfromthefactory.
6. Damagestothefitnessbikefinishduringshipping,installationorfollowinginstallation.
7. Routinemaintenanceofthisunitasspecifiedinthismanual.

EXCLUSIONS
Thiswarrantydoesnotcoverthefollowing:
1. CONSEQUENTIAL,COLLATERAL,ORINCIDENTALDAMAGESSUCHASPROPERTYDAMAGEANDINCIDENTALEXPENSESRESULTING
FROMANYBREACHOFTHISWRITTENORANYIMPLIEDWARRANTY.
Note:Someareasdonotallowtheexclusionorlimitationofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,sothislimitationorexclusionmay
notapplytoyou.
2. Servicecallreimbursementtotheconsumer.Servicecallreimbursementtothedealerthatdoesnotinvolvemalfunctionor
defectsinworkmanshipormaterial,forunitsthatarebeyondthewarrantyperiod,forunitsthatarebeyondtheservicecall
reimbursementperiod,forfitnessbikenotrequiringcomponentreplacement,orfitnessbikenotinordinaryhouseholduse.
3. DamagescausedbyservicesperformedbypersonsotherthanauthorizedDyacoCanadaInc.servicecompanies;useofpartsother
thanoriginalDyacoCanadaInc.parts;orexternalcausessuchascorrosion,discolorationofpaintorplastic,alterations,
modifications,abuse,misuse,accident,impropermaintenance,inadequatepowersupply,oractsofGod.
4. Productswithoriginalserialnumbersthathavebeenremovedoraltered.
5. Productsthathavebeen:sold,transferred,bartered,orgiventoathirdparty.
6. ProductsthatdonothaveawarrantyregistrationcardonfileatDyacoCanadaInc.DyacoCanadaInc.reservestherighttorequest
proofofpurchaseifnowarrantyrecordexistsfortheproduct.
7. THISWARRANTYISEXPRESSLYINLIEUOFALLOTHERWARRANTIESEXPRESSEDORIMPLIED,INCLUDINGTHEWARRANTIESOF
MERCHANTABILITYAND/ORFITNESSFORAPARTICULARPURPOSE.
8. Productuseinanyenvironmentotherthanaresidentialsetting.
