To obtain a social rank

1. Education guarantee social recognition

2. Education allows you to do an activity

3.

1. People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new
experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend
college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer

We live in a competitive world, even you do not like to be agree with this reality, is
a fact that every day is getting more and more difficult to obtain a good job. For that reason,
one of the most common ways that people take is to improve their education level, people
attend university because they want to climb in the social ladder. In first place, we have to
see that education has been thought as a guarantee of social recognition. Secondly,
education allows people to do a specific activity, that other people do not.
First of all, university and college had represented in our society temples of the
knowledge, and we can see that one of the most common reasons to attend these places is
that obtaining a diploma from these institutions gave people a status in a society. In this
way, many students join the university dreaming with the day they would get the diploma
that means that they are the selected group of people with a university grade. Furthermore,
to attend to university provide the student the image of cleaver and responsible person.
Hence, we have many examples of young men and young women that leave their little
towns with the hope of one day become to reach the goal of the university grade.
In second place, we have to observe that contemporary world is going more and
more specialized in employments. Consequently, the second point that I have considered
in this essay for going to University and college is that this institutions bring the opportunity
to be competitive in a specific kind of work. For example, we can observe that in medicine
there are many fields in which the professionals might direct their careers. Therefore,
university programs have developed many programs to have a flowrish knowledge with
precision required nowadays.
In conclusion, I have exposed two reasons here to explain why people go to
universities and college; one of them is the possibility to get a social recognition, and the
other reason is that knowledge in higher educative institutions brought to students the
opportunity to work in a specific subject. Therefore, education is one of the most important
aspects in the organization of a social rank.
Integrated Essay

In this sets of materials, both the reading passage and the lecture discuss about the
quality of home education. The author of the reading passages argues that Homeschooling
is a bad method of education compared with traditional school method. On the other hand,
the reading passage states that homeschooling is more efficient that the traditional way of
learning.
First, the author of the reading passage mentions that children in homeschools do
not learn enough compared with the children in traditional schools. Furthermore, He also
mention that in traditional school teachers oblige children to learn a lot of materials and
because of that children have to effort themselves to pass to the next grade. The lecture
contradicts this arguments, by clamming that homeschooling has a best method in which
students learn more than in traditional schools, he reinforces this position by saying that
studies demonstrates that children in homeschool had best results.
Second, the author of the reading passage believes that homeschooling does not
allow children to have good social interaction. He observes that children in homeschool only
can have relationships with the family and maybe some neighbors. On the contrary, the
listening passages reveals that homeschooling offer to children a variety of relationships,
not only with classmates, as it is in traditional schools.
Third, the author of the reading passage mentions that homeschooling does not
have a variety of subjects as the traditional education. He also says that traditional schools
have a wide curriculum that offer the children a variety of subjects. The lecture contradicts
this point by indicating that traditional schools have a rigid curriculum and this characteristic
is not good in children education. He observes that homeschooling allows students to learn
about many topics as astronomy and Chinese, and these subjects are never taught in
traditional schools.
