scene?
Written in the past tense?
Written in a chronological order?
Used time connectives e.g. in the morning, meanwhile, within minutes, soon

afterwards, later that day etc?

Included powerful verbs e.g. roared, whizzed, scampered, struggled?
Included details and descriptive language to interest the reader?
Does my final paragraph bring the reader back to the subject of the recount e.g. an

evaluation or personal comment?
