HINDUISM

Introduction

Hinduism is the third largest religion. It started 4000 years ago, and it has about
1 billion followers. The followers are called Hinduism. Hinduism is the oldest
religion in the planet. Hinduism started in the Indus valley. Then Hinduism spread
to India and Nepal. Hinduism is Polytheistic, which means they believed in many
gods.
Gods
The main god is Brahman, who create the world, Brahman has no gender and no
shape. He is like a spirit. Then Brahman cerate 3 more gods. There was Shiva
known as the destroyer, then we have Vishnu known as the preserver and the
last one and not the list Brahma known as the creator. There are many more
different gods. In Hinduism, there are specific gods. Every house has a murtis.
Murtis is where you pray to your favourite god and they give offerings and have
a picture of the god.
Worship
Hinduism worship in a temple what is called Mandir. Many people worship home
twice a day. Every family has a shrine. They have a picture of their favourite god.
Puja is praying classes. There religions book is celled the Vedas. You must know
the Vedas by hart to go to Mosksha. Vedas is the oldest religious text. When you
offer, you give a gift but if you are to poor you can imagen the gift to. When you
worship in a temple you must ring a bell to wake up the gods and you can say
thank you or ask for something. Aarti is a worship ceremony and you must do
that twice a day. Hindus, are vegetarian. They are not allowed to eat animal because they
believe the Brahman, who is the supreme god, is part of every living thing.

Celebration and major festival

There is one festival called Rasksha Bandhan. Rasksha means portion and
Bandhan means tie. In Rasksha Bandhan you put a cotton string around your
hand. To a brother or a sister and it symbol that she or he is there to protect.
Another big festival is marge. Mirage is a duty in Hinduism. If you dont know
what duty means, it means it must be done. Still if you dont like who you marry
you must marry still because it is a duty. In the mirage, you will get mehendi

Holi is also a festival. Holi is a celebration of be good over evil. You throw colour
on other people the 3-main colour is red for power, orange for puberty and green
for love. Finally, the last festival is Diwali. It means festival of light. They Hindus
must clean their house and wear new close.

After life
When you die, you will be reincarnated in your next live. If you behave badly you
will be poor but if you are nice you will become rich. When you be reincarnate
you go to Moksha and they have a chose to be liberation. If you want to be
liberation. They will test your spiritual knowledge. When you die, they burn your
body and put the ash in the water.
