Chemists Have All the

Solutions
Not only is chemistry a very interesting major. Chemistry is literally all around you. It

helps you create new things that can save the world. The higher the degree the more you will

get paid. It also has a wide variety of things you can do. The people who are mainly

interested in taking in chemistry as a major are very imaginative; meaning they think beyond

just a piece of paper. You would be able to retain knowledge very well. You also would be a

great critical thinking and problem solver. So, why not know what is in front of your very

eyes? You cant do anything without Chemistry.

The higher the degree the more you will earn. With just a Bachelors degree in

chemistry you can have careers in Applied Research , Cheminformatics, Chemical

Engineering, Chemical Technology and so much more. As a chemistry professor, you can

make as much as $96,308 and up. As a research and developer, you can make as much as

$61,475.

With a career in research and development your never bored. In recent years, the

federal government supported nearly $40 billion dollars of university research and

development (R&D) activities. Other sources of fundingincluding industry, state

government and the universities themselvesprovided over $22 billion in support for

university R&D. Right now, in the science world research and development is in (more

industries need it). (Rosenbloom1).

You might be nervous on choosing chemistry because of the math component in it.

Even though it is tricky at times you still will use it throughout your career. For chemistry,

especially you need to know how to calculate formulas. Other science professions or even

business you will most likely use formulas or even graphs. If you know the basics in math

it wont be that hard to go deeper and learning more. You always want to broaden your

horizon meaning to look beyond just having a 2+2 (in a way).

Next you might think that youre not a science person. Not everyone is the same

and reacts to different things the same way. So of course, youre going to have your doubts,

but being different is what science really is. Not all science is the same. If it were then most

scientists wouldnt discover half of what they have now. If you are creative and a great

problem solver then sciences especially chemistry is the place for you.

Lastly you might think that you need to get a PhD and it will be hard to pay off.

With that PhD in chemistry alone you will make a very good salary and will pay off your

loans in little to no time.

In conclusion chemistry is a great major to choose. Itll keep you on your toes and

push you to be greater then you ever thought. It might be hard along the way but what

degree isnt?? You should choose a degree that not only changes you for the better but,

improves/ changes the world. Which of course is getting a chemistry degree!
