Course Objectives:
1. To explore theatre creation and production.
2. To experience theatre and explore live performance
3. To learn about the current London theatre scene

Requirements:
1. Attend and complete requirements for HUM 212
2. Attend the travel to London
3. Attend 3 productions in London
4. Attend a tour of The Globe Theatre

Course Fees: This course is subject to fees related to travel and course needs. Fees will be outlined fully at a later date.

1. All assignments are due on the date assigned.
2. Late work will receive a 10% deduction for each calendar day the instructor does not receive a hard copy.

Assignments:
London Travel: Students will travel to London, see three London productions on the West End and attend a tour
of The Globe Theatre. Travel details will be given later in the semester.

London Response Paper: Each student will turn in a 3 5 paged typed response paper to the London trip.
Responses should double spaced, one inch margins, in 12 point Times New Roman and should discuss the
experience of attending live theatre, touring The Globe Theatre, and one thing they learned about theatre. It
should also include a response to the visual aspects of the third show they saw. Response papers are due
Monday, April 24.

Third Show Assignment: All students are required to attend 3 productions in London. Two productions will be
chosen and booked by ACN, each student is responsible for attending a third production of their choosing. The
production must be on Londons West End or adjacent. If off-West End productions should be approved by the
instructor. With the response papers due Monday, April 24 each student will need to turn in their program and
ticket stub for the third production seen and briefly chat with the instructor about the performance.

building must be evacuated, or you need disability accommodations in this course, please make an appointment with me.
My office hours are Monday and Wednesday from 13:00 14:30 and Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 10:30. I would also
be happy to make an appointment with you should my office hours not accommodate your schedule
