Class Rules/Expectations:
Come to classthis means ON TIME.
Be preparedthis means having all materials and completed homework,
ready to begin learning the moment class starts.
Put away your phonesif its an emergency, take it into the hall.
Otherwise, it can wait.
Be respectfulof your peers, your teacher, and your school.
Share your thoughtsmath is about THINKING, not memorizing.
NO cheating, bullying, or profanity will be tolerated.
Other rules as stated in the school/district handbook.
Materials needed:
Notebook
Folder for handouts and homework
Textbook
Pencils (and good erasersmistakes are to be expected )
Grade Scale/Distribution:
90% - 100% = A o Homework40%
80% - 89% = B o Tests & Quizzes30%
70% - 79% = C o Final Exam20%
60% - 69 % = D o Participation10%
0% - 59% = F
Late Work Policy:
Homework is graded upon completion, unless otherwise specified. Late or
incomplete assignments will be worth 50% of the original points possible
up to one week after the due date. After this point, no late work will be
accepted.
Tutoring:
I will be available for tutoring most days before and after school and during
lunch. I want to help you succeed. However, it is up to you to seek extra
help if you want or need it.

feel free to email me at. I will also be keeping the class webpage up-to-
date with all assignments and announcements, and a copy of this
syllabus; so many questions may be answered there.
I am very much looking forward to getting to know you and making this a
