Professional Goals:
I strongly desire to utilize my expertise in the field of curriculum development to further the educational practices of current
and future teachers. Through careful analysis of research-based methods, my goal is to ensure that every student achieves
academic success, regardless of background. In this way, I draw on the belief that an equitable education begins with
curriculum, the assessment of student understanding, and reflection on that instruction by dedicated professionals.

Personal Interests: I am the proud father of two 9 month-old twin boys. I am interested in various subjects crucial to
the social studies such as history and political science. I am interested in analytic philosophy and classical texts and their
ability to enrich personal character. My current focus of interest is Curriculum Theory and the Philosophy of Education,
particularly how policy can be affected by clearly identifying curricular preference. I also enjoy gardening and playing disc
golf.
