REINVENTING FOOD 2
Reinventing Food
The culinary and consumer business has a turn of the century in many way. From 3D
printing food to gardens hanging on the wall. All in all these can change the way society lives
and may affect those that America is connected to. The issue of hunger can be fixed or assisted
just through simple solutions that have not become aware to the publics eye until now. America
is reinventing food.
Food production is the initial step to any meal or consumed product. Every product starts
with a mineral, vegetable, or animal grown (breed) from the ground. Farming is a big deal but it
has partially been taken over by automated machinery. Due to these machines global food supply
has increased but it has also lead to other innovations. For example, bio printing on meat bio
printing of meat is something that has been test and shared. Bio printed meat is printed then
cooked like any other meat would be. With normal meat Diamandis (2016) stated, It 63 billion
land animals to feed 7 billion humans, that can all be change or lessoned. There is a goal for
bio printing to become the top source of meat and leather. With bio printing there is no limit. In
success, bio printing of meat (beef, chicken, and pork) has huge advantages for humanity. By
bio-printing of meat, we would be able to feed the world with 99% less land, 96% less water,
96% fewer greenhouse gases and 45% less energy, (Diamandis, 2016) this could assist in
ending the battle against hunger. This form of meat would not necessarily be considered a
substitute for traditionally produced meat products; it could, rather, be considered a means of
providing people with healthy sources of protein that are produced in an ethical way. This is a
Another big factor in is getting food to the community is food preparation. Some people
may start preparing their food by pulling all the ingredients or rinsing the food so that it is clean.

Either way food preparation is key to making a safe meal for everyone to enjoy. Diamandis
(2016) factually claimed, The United States consumes nearly 1 billion meals . . . and spends an
average of 10.5 million minutes on food preparation [daily]. Food preparation is time
consuming and is a big factor, how people prepare and eat food is dependent on our personalized
nutrition. Our body mechanics, such as our blood type and genome determine how our bodies
react and interact with certain foods and nutrients. There are now ways toad variety to diets of all
kinds through a machine. IBMs Watsons uses a machine to make new foods and recipes that no
human would ever think of. It has changed the way cocktail parties are run.
Finally, in getting the food to the consumer is food delivery. Typically the food would be
shipped in large quantities to a store or anther facility be for the store and the consumer would
get it from there. Now that the improvement of engineering and technology has gotten so far
drones are now delivering food. The commercial drone market is an estimates $552 million in
2016 (Diamandis, 2016). Dominoes pizza has already began delivering by drones in New
Zealand. Also producers want to make getting food more convenient to the buyers. It should be
as simple as pushing a button and the food is on the doorstep. Companies like UberEATS,
Munchery, and many others deliver high-quality, restaurant and chef-prepared food ready for
delivery on demand. Food delivery is all about convenience and customer satisfactory/happiness.
Reinventing food and how the human race eats has to affect every step of the process. It
must start with food production. The mineral and vegetables start the process and gives the initial
source of nutrients that the human body needs to survive and thrive off of the land. Secondly,
food preparation, this deals with cleanliness and how the body reacts to the substance and/or
food entering the body. Lastly, food delivery is the step of the process that most people think
about the most. The easier it is to get to the food the more likely it is for people to want it. The

number one goal of any company who is a part of the food manufacturing business is to make the
customers and consumers happy. If the company is effectively doing these things then they are
more likely to be used or recommended and to grow economically. It is all about customer
satisfaction.
