2. Effectiveness of:
f) Technology:
The teacher uses the Smart board for presentations and lessons. The students use
their computers for AR testing and research purposes. The classroom also has
access to I pads to get on programs like MobiMax which is academic games that
keeps up with their progress.
g) Traffic Patterns:
The teacher is on the side of the students which gives her maximum control over
the classroom and great visual of the students. The white board and smart board is
located in the front of the room so that students are always facing the front for
lessons and activities. The teacher often walks around the room in between the
rows of desks. She has two students paired together, a lower and higher student
which help0s them work well together.
h) Instructional Displays:
The teacher doesnt have anything on the walls because the school told her it was a
fire hazard. She has one bulletin board and she uses it to display the students
achievement and to post things like rewards and student of the month. Classroom
duties are written on the board. Each student has a file of their progress and work
on a back table.
i) Classroom Management:
At the start of class students are sleepy and it takes them a while to get
woke up. The interruptions generally went smoothly. They had multiple
bathroom breaks and pull outs like guidance and art, students were calm
and easily controlled between switching. The teacher never had to raise
her voice or threaten her students to behave because they are already
well behaved and willingly do anything she asks of them.
j) Motivational Elements:
She puts good behavior and academic rewards on the bulletin board, and also does
a lot of verbal praise. She always compliments and respects her students and as a
result they are very obedient and listen so well.
