1. Read the questions carefully in NO.3 on page 94, predict the
answers
Listen again for details, and answer the questions
1. Read the statements carefully in NO.4 &5 on page 94, predict
the answers

Where is Jiseons favorite place? Why?
Who is Ismarlyn?
What is Joss favorite sport? Why?
After-stage Language focus
1. Underline the expressions with the clauses that start with which,
where, that. T-S 8 mins
E.g Jiseon is a software engineer who loves playing Kendo. S-S
--Students underline the expressions, then come back to the class as a
whole
--Teacher write them down on the board
2. Put all the clauses that start with that start with who together.
Do the same with where and that
3. Think about what they have in common. Can you summarize a
rule for relative clause by yourself?

and 2 fake facts about Joy and your other friends in class.

figure out whether each sentence is true or not.

Pre-stage Have you played Taboo before? What is a taboo?
- things that people are not allowed to talk about. T-S 2mins
The game we are going to play is called Taboo. You are asked to
describe the word on the card, without saying the word itself.
- For example, give students a demo.
--give instructions of how to play Taboo.
During-stage Students play Taboo S-S 10mins
Make it a competition, record the scores
--take notes while students are playing the game.

Describe your friends
Jiseon is a software engineer who loves playing Kendo. Her favorite
place in New York City is Central Park which is very famous around the world.
Jiseon said I love Central Park so much because it is
a place where I can take walk and I can just rest and
relax.
Ismarlyn is Jiseons good friend. Ismarlyn is an
architect who currently works at a gym. She is from
Dominica Republic which is a country in South
America. Ismarlyn is a big fan of food (foodie ). Her
favorite food is Burrito that is a kind of Mexican food.
Ismarlyn speaks Spanish, so does Jos. Jos is from
Columbia, a country which is in South America too. Jos is a
busboy who works at his sisters restaurant at Queens. He loves biking very much. Jos
said biking is an activity that makes me feel excited and relaxed!
I can spend the whole day just biking!
Jiseon, Ismarlyn and Jos all have a friend who is in Paris
now. Her name is Yoriko. Yoriko is a Japanese nail technician
who works in New York City. She loves going to bars drinking
with her friends. She said I loves bars because bars are the places where I can rest and
enjoy drinking alcohol.

Jiseon, Ismarlyn, Jos and Yoriko all have a friend who is also their teacher . Can you
write something to describe Joy? Write at least 2 true facts, and 2 fake facts about Joy and
your other friends in class.
