Comments:
Some st were pulled for reading group unexpectedly, Ms. Illing was able to keep st engaged despite the distraction.

2. Instruction - Instructional Time


Intern has materials, supplies, and equipment ready at the start of the lesson or activity.
Intern gets class started quickly.
Intern uses available time for learning and keeps students on task.
Comments:
Books were prepared for each group with sticky notes indicating where st need to stop and discuss.
Ms. Illing continued to keep st on task during group work, monitoring group progress-prompting when needed
3. Instruction - Instructional Planning and Presentation
Intern establishes links with prior learning and experiences.
Intern arranges learning activities to support standards.
Intern appropriately uses a variety of teaching styles.
Comments:
Introduction to lesson provide st with the opportunity to show what they know about various historical African Americans.

Instruction - Instructional Monitoring


Intern circulates to check performance and monitor progress.
Intern varies level of questioning.
Intern ensures that all students have the opportunity to participate.
Comments:
Encourages st who may need extra support as she walked around to monitor st progress.
Didnt see much of a variety in the questions, the questions asked all linked to the main idea and the assignment the students had to
do. Those questions were great, just maybe add one or two HOT questions to end the lesson.

Did the interns/student teachers classroom management support the learning outcomes?
Yes Ms. Illing followed the same classroom management that I use and she was successful, all students were engaged.
Was the Teaching Behavior Focus goal achieved?
I believe so, clear expectations were made for all students, students met those expectations. Behavior issues were not a
problem. Awesome job!
