Reflection

This semester I have spent countless hours writing, reading, drafting, and analyzing, not

only in this class, but a few others as well. Luckily, what I learn in English directly relates to my

other classes. Before this semester I had difficulty in returning to my work to improve my

writing, but that has been much improved. I have learned to edit my work thoroughly, along with

reviewing and editing my peers papers as well. Some of my most improved areas that stem

directly from this class are critical thinking, rhetorical analysis, dissecting the writing of others,

purposeful word usage, and revision, just to name a few.

In preparation for classes I will take in the future, I will be better prepared. My writings

skills have improved and I now look at writing as less of a chore and more of an opportunity to

learn. As I continue to write and learn other rhetorical techniques, my skills will grow. Personal

and professional life revolves around effectively communicating, which includes writing. The

skills I have honed this semester will help me in my work life, personal, and school life greatly. I

am happy to say that I dont dread writing papers as I did not long ago!
