BACKGROUND
Pre-Columbian Argentina Was farmed by
sedentary indigenous groups such as the
Diaguita and used as a hunting ground by
nomads. Indigenous resistance inhibited
Spanish incursions and discouraged
Spanish settlement. Buenos Aires was not
successfully established until 1580, and
remained a backwater for 200 years. A
declining and unevenly distributed
indigenous population, which could not be
milked for its labor, led to the creation of
huge cattle ranches, known as haciendas
the genesis of the legendary gaucho and
the source of great wealth for a lucky few.
Inter-Parliament Union:
The united states established diplomatic
relations with Argentina in 1823 following
Argentinas independence from Spain. The
bilateral relationship between the US and
Argentina is based on shared interests
including science and technology,
education, trade, regional peace and
stability, non-proliferation, cultural
exchanges, human rights, and social
inclusion. The government of argentina
shares US national and international
security goals through participation and
advocacy for the non-proliferation of
weapons of mass destruction.

The Supreme Court of Argentina:
Is one of the highest court of law in all of
Argentina. It is used as a last resort for
tribunal. Its hearing cannot be appealed.
It also handles decisions on cases that
deal with and pertain to interpretation of
the constitution.
Federal Court System:
Federal courts include supreme court, 17
appellate courts, and district and
territorial courts local level. They hear
cases concerning the National
government of any of its agencies.
Conflicts involving two or more
provinces, matters involving foreign
people or companies and certain
violations of constitutional rights.
Provincial Court System:
Each province has its own judicial courth
system. The provincial court system
consists of Supreme, Appellate and lowe
courts. Thre are three main types of
courts in provincial system.: civil,
criminal and labor courts. The supreme
courts or superior tribunals of justice
consist of three to ine members
depending on the province.
